The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) formally opened National Cricket Academy (NCA) at TU Cricket Ground. I think it would be a small cricket academy just having a gym.   I have heard the construction of cricket academy in Mulpani few years back which would have all facilities including hostel for the players.What about the construction of international cricket stadium in Pokhara? (Even ICC have provided financial help to construct ground in Pokhara). What a wonderful ground it would be to have a international cricket ground in Pokhara.   SAARC countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have their multiple international cricket venues. Why is it Nepal cannot contruct even one big international cricket stadium? Why our national cricket team does not have physiotherapist, doctor and bowling/batting coaches?   President of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Tanka Angbuhang (who does not have any background of cricket), is a Maoist and was chosen the president last year by Maoists. CAN has huge amount of money but they are not investing enough for the construction of permanent cricket grounds/stadiums or even for players. Tanka Angbuhang has been making illicit money that should have been invested in the Cricket.   Nepal has been doing very good in cricket in last few years. The problem is the players do not get chance to play tournaments due to lack of such academies/grounds. I think there should be frequent tournaments (like Ranji trophy in India) or invite international associate teams to play in Nepal.
