Was just checking other threads and the subject caught the eyes.. 11 thousand views during the meltdown. Why so much attention. Are Nepalis so damn smart to buy dip and sell high? Or these are the people who bought high and their share prices dipped high and were looking at the thread for TIPS to average down? Do you think stock market is rational? Are you rational? Most of the people who post here, talk about what to buy for summer, winter etc. You expect your investment to give you the return in 3 months and then you want to jump into the next season? And what makes you think that what you paid for is fair? Several of my MBA'ed friends talk during the weekend on how much they made this week "PLAYING" etf and etn and buying this and buying that bio tech stock. They don't have no idea about how the scientific stuides acutally take place behind the scence and what it means for the FDA panel on the result of whatever papers submitted. They win sometime and lose most of the time. Some of my friends are only $4000 down since they started investing in 2007/2008. Not bad. But now they're making. Now they know where to go. Are you one among them ? honestly?  How many of you full timers or whatever timers bought your house "SUPER HIGH" during the bubble? Do you now realize that you were very greedy at the time? You're so damn good in studies and research and what not....but you're good to do all that- if it does not involve -MONEY!! This will never stop! A man is judged by the shoes he wear! Unlike Gandhi and Budhha! Thats the society we live in and I don't wanna complain! We need short cut to everything. Short cut to richness is the best possible dream that we all have. But many of these 11000 forgot that it took them so many years of studies to be where they are. They just can't relate that in investing. Quick quick and quick..like that snake and ladder game....you want your number to hit where the ladder is but oops..whle you want to reach way up there..u have snakes everywhere to bite your greed!
