It was a painful experience for me with Etihad. Abu Dhabi airport was nice, airplanes were ok too, but the people were not ok. I would stay away from Etihad & Abu Dhabi, if possible.

Thanks Mech. I dont have that option anymore , I should have probably asked the question before buying my ticket. At the least I know what to expect.

My experience was very good. I had 18 hours of transit there but I enjoyed the airport, its big and beautiful. Staffs were very co-operating. I met with many Nepali workers there and it was fun talking to them. Tip: Do not forget to take a universal power adapter with you. US power plugs do not work with those sockets and I had to buy an adapter for 15 dollars in that airport.

I had a very good experience with them. If your transit is more that 10hrs long, you can call the ethiad customer service and ask them if they can provide a hotel stay. They did for me. But you can at least try and check. Good Luck

Thanks Pakheta. I am actually plannig on getting out of the airport and speding  the night in a hotel, 14 hours transit for me , with a child.
