Hi Divorceguy, Thank you for writing! I'm not sure if Documentary Films are new to you or the term Environmental Refugee/Climate Migrant so I'll define both. Documentary Films are movies that tell a story using footage in the real world. The goal is typically to document some aspect for reality in order to teach the audience something, or maintain a historical record. In this case I will be creating a record of the issues faced by the people affected by the earhquake in order to persuade the international community to do more to help. Climate Migrants or Environmental Refugees are people who are forced to move from their home because of some drastic change in their environment. Some of the victims of the earthquake will be forced to leave their homes and will then have to migrate to another place. If they want to leave Nepal entirely they could be considered refugees. To participate, we'd only have to speak for a short while. I would ask you a few questions about the earthquake's affect on you and your family, and film our conversation. I would then use the video to help explain how others can help. I hope that makes it a little clearer! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Sincerely, Lindsey

Me and my family lives in Kathmandu, our family don't have drought or moving problem. May be we have water problem since government don't provide adequate drinking water. We use tube well water or we have a deep 20 ft well in our compound.

Lindsey - I think you are in wrong place. This forum is mostly used by neplease who are in US and who are computer literate. Now you have to understand the social side of this. Saying that, most of these people are either from middle class or higher middle class family. It is almost impossible for any very poor and uneducated to end up being in USA from Nepal. Now on other side climate migrants will be mostly poorer of poor and farmers, whose livelihood directly depends on natural factors, such as fisherman who used to fish on local river that dried out, hilly region farmer who depends only on rain for farming. All these people will never end up being in US. US don't have policy to migrate take in those kind of people in. There might be very few who family has gone through such migratin in past and their kids are in US, but still I think it is very less likely. And based on my experime poor migrants usually move to closer next village, town or may be to india. I don't expect them to be in USA, either do I expect them to be able to use video or computers for your interview. Poorest are the one who are impacted most by these things and I don't expect them to have access to computer, Internet and video chat. So if want to get real picture of this you have to travel to those villages. And this will be true for most of the world not only nepal. @ divorseguy- please stay out of this thread :), may be this is not your thing as of now.
