Guys - I wanted to open this thread to explore ideas based on people experience about what goods/products if I export will sell better. I will give you some background. I started exporting some induction cooktops to Kathmandu, thinking that because of constant shortage of cooking gas, it would sell, but it wasn't to be. The 10 cooktops I send took more than a month to sell through a shop that one of my relative runs in the heart of Kathmandu. My price was very competitive. The reason now I realized is, vast majority of households in Kathmandu already have one, as everyone bought it when where was shortage of cooking gas. I was also exploring invertors powerful enough to run all appliances including the induction cooktops which in itself is around 1500 Watts, but don't know even that would be viable as there is a high probability that major hydro-power projects that are about to be completed would eliminate the problem of long load shielding in Kathmandu.
