Not yet
Tesla guy · Aug 9, 2021 5:24 PM
Yeah not yet, it just included ā it still need to passs senate parliamentary, thatās the huge blocking, and then senate dems floor which might pass if senate parliamentary agrees to include immigration in budget bill
username619 · Aug 9, 2021 5:26 PM
NYT le yesto po bhanchha ta: "Stymied by Republican opposition, Democrats also aim to push the boundaries of the budget reconciliation process, which has strict rules about what can and cannot be shielded from the filibuster. It calls for a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants and provisions to beef up enforcement of labor laws and penalties for employers that violate them, although those policies may ultimately be left out for violating those budgetary rules." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/0...

Yeah itās upto senate parliamentary to decide if immigration can be considered as a budget bill, in 2005 republicans had included the immigration on budget bill and was able to passed it!! I think based on that democrats are now trying to pass immigration reform through budget bill. Dems are saying providing pathway will increase the GDP by billions and would help in economic recovery which is kind of budget stuff, and based on this they are including in budget reconciliation!! But ultimately it comes down to the decision of senate parliamentary to decide if it can be included, thatās the huge blocking. I also heard if senate parliamentary doesnāt allow immigration to be included in budget bill, senate dems or vp has the power to over to override the senate parliamentary decision, but I am not sure on that
username619 · Aug 10, 2021 9:00 AM
What are the chances of moderately democratic senators like Seneca to say no on the bill?
Hanuman1 · Aug 10, 2021 9:11 AM
I am not sure on that, I guess we will need all 50 senate democrats to pass it, but thatās the 2nd thing, my first main concern is Elizabeth MacDonough who is the current senate parliamentarian, I think she will decide if immigration can be included in budget bill!! If she says yes, then I have little hope that somehow democrats will agree and pass, but then again just a teeny tiny little hope with democrats if senate parliamentary agrees
username619 · Aug 10, 2021 9:24 AM
No VP does not have the power to overrule the parliamentarian's decision. Biden already said he respects her decision no matter what she makes.
BiratSwaroop · Aug 10, 2021 1:04 PM
Republicans have used reconciliation many times when they controlled senate.
Sanaklaal · Aug 10, 2021 1:23 PM
Reconciliation happens all the time (sometimes 3 times a year, I think), even there was one early this year. It is just that immigration may not impact budget (the tricky part is the policy cannot be an incidence but should impact the budget). I read on NYT that it is a nightmare situation for a parliamentarian to make that judgment. Republicans used to I think to use leftover GC quotas or H1B sth, idk. All eyes on her probably gonna happen tomorrow early morning (Wednesday overnight).
BiratSwaroop · Aug 10, 2021 1:29 PM
Got it, but yeah itās upto Elizabeth whether to include immigration in budget bill, but looking at online data like: āā- āimmigration benefits all American workers. Providing a pathway to #citizenship for #Dreamers, #TPS eligible individuals, and undocumented #essentialworkers would boost U.S. GDP by a $1.5 trillion over 10 years, create 400,800 new jobs, increase annual wages by $600ā āā so I kind a hope that it impacts budget ā but again it all comes down to Elizabeth, but I have read somewhere that senate chairman or thereās someone that can overrule the parliamentarian, but I could be wrong, praying for it to be included and finally passĆ©d šš

The Democrats senators dared to bring this bill on the floor because they have already discussed this matter with the senate parliamentarian long time ago. Democrats lawyers have already discuss this matter with her .Its all senators who passed this precedent in 2005 to allow immigration provisions in budget bill. . This is inside job. I believe climate change is the hottest topic now . What the hell is going on ?? Flooding , wildfire, , unprecedented heatwave, dangerous variant covid virus emerging .. is end of the world coming soon . The smokes from wildfire has reached the north pole. Scientist are already worried about it . And these mofo republicans are worried about money . Confirmed Last edited: 10-Aug-21 03:29 PM

Is it tonight thatās gonna be decided if immigration will be included in budget bill?

Freaking dems and liberals are going crazy to consider spending 107 billion tax payer dollar make illegals US citizen . It rather pathway for guaranteed loose of senate and house in mid-term.
meraj · Aug 10, 2021 7:30 PM
@meraj here we are not discussing that 6th grader argument. We are not throwing stereotypical words like "taxpayers money" etc that sounds cliche. Plus the immigrants that they are trying to put into legislation have been here and paying taxes for more than 25 years.
BiratSwaroop · Aug 10, 2021 8:42 PM
@meraj yo pal, if you donāt like it then move on
username619 · Aug 10, 2021 9:45 PM
Why is tax payer dolor is cliche and is 6th argument? Just because itās different in opinion. Everyday people pay tax and that very dolor is what gets spent by government at the end of day. If shit hits fan , government will have no option other than raising tax to cover expense and dept. So where government is spending dolor is definitely concern for people. Plus illegals are illegals , except for kids who probably didnāt knew when they were brought in. 25 yrs of staying here was choice for folks , choice they made to be illegal and stay illegal. There are lot of Indians , Chinese working, paying taxes and staying in que for green card working in H1B for decade. But no Nepaleseās get to have green card first just because , their home land got earthquake from no-where when folks happen to be in US. This is ridiculous argument and most in-efficient use of privilege. This is public forum , everyone is entitled to opinion, if like minded folks want to talk themselves, they should use private forums and chats. So read it suckers lol. And , I have no concern giving green card to dreamers , or any other countries which have in-humane living conditions at present or for decades , which is what TPS really meant for. Nepal is far from from that, and Nepaleseās donāt deserve TPS just because we had earthquakes and impact on living conditions or threat to life is long gone. This advocacy for TPS/green card for Nepaleseās is for personal benefits at this point . Last edited: 11-Aug-21 08:47 AM

@meraj bro: There is nothing fair about US immigration system. Everyone has to find something that gives them some kind of pathway like marriage, DV, PERM etc. For many Nepali people, TPS is a hope to achieve this dream of being truly free in this country known as land of freedom. And it is good for Nepal as well, as it helps with remittances and maintain good long term relationships with superpower. And just because one group of immigrants have been unlucky with backlog doesnāt mean we should feel guilty about our privilege. Youāre right US immigration rules are bizarre and we are simply trying to chart out path in this absurd system. Personally, I have never violated my status in 10 yrs Iāve been here and TPS will give me faster route to residency than work sponsorship, thatās why Iām invested in it. I donāt even wish my enemy the stresses and mental issues that come with immigration topics. Anyways, good luck to all and fingers crossed.
westcoastlad · Aug 11, 2021 9:01 AM
@meraj Very much entitled to your opinion, as much as the entitlement I hear spewing out of your words. Here's my opinion - go f* yourself.
passinthru · Aug 11, 2021 9:18 AM
@meraj we are not saying you cannot post anything, just dont agree with you. your argument is still like that of a 6th grader. Cliche b/c everybody says that all the time when a fair policy of redistribution is attempted. I assume you are not a native tribe, so you came under something. We can argue say any program is not necessary for the sake of settling your life here in the US. It is just a category--H1B, DV, PERM, of TPS/DACA. At the end of the day capitalism rules here. Also, did you even notice Liberians TPS/DED holders got GC during the last administration? NO right? So your personal ego is influencing here. So, Nepali TPS holders don't deserve but some other country that you are not aware of deserves it? That's why you are not making an educated argument here. You have every rights to post anything it just doesnt make sense.
BiratSwaroop · Aug 11, 2021 9:58 AM
As far as I've seen -- fake asylum filers (99.99% of them by the way) who got their GC during the Obama administration years and now got their citizenship are the biggest critics of TPS programs these days. They act like they're born here and talk shit about liberal policies which by the way enabled them to get their GC in the first place. lol lol, such hypocrites. Edit: Just wanted to make clear that I've no animosity towards anyone. Everyone's got to do what they have to do but please don't belittle folks vehemently just because you got your shit together by hook and crook. Live and let live folks! @Sql_server agree fake asylm seekers, fake consultancies PERM seekers, lol yeah a bunch of mfking hypocrites, if you have GC or if you are a citizen, then enjoy the fk fkin freedom instead of bashing here

All Democrats including sinema signed gues.I was skeptic with few democrats
Hanuman1 · Aug 12, 2021 9:46 AM
Did they actually pass it? Or is it finally got approved by senate parliamentary to be included in budget reconciliation?
username619 · Aug 12, 2021 9:49 AM
I donāt think so they have passed yet
username619 · Aug 12, 2021 9:50 AM
OK let me make it clear.... right now senate dems passed a blank bill with nothing on it and went to senate vacation. they will return by august 23. but the good part is no one objected (2 idiots are there sinema and manchin so keep a eye on. them). what i think is they wont object this bill but they want to reduce extra spending like say 3.5 trillion to 3 trillion like that. watch august 23 another date. then schumer gave deadline of september 15 for the words on the bill. so that is another big date. then only watch for senate parliamentary she will weigh in after that. after september 15 you will know the wordings on the bill. then nancy pelosi aunti will come to picture. she said she wont touch 1 trillion bill without 3.5 trillion one. after sept 15 they will do voting on house. in house they have 3 democracts to spare but everyone must come together. (also mr mangale dada was a pro on this matter. he worked in a law firm or something. but our egoistic sajha.com banned him for no reason. thats why i wanted him to be unbanned so he could put more clearer words for you gaich:) cheers gacih!!

@pandeyji thanks for the detail info pandey jii - we gotta make dabangg 4 if it passess lol

So far it looks promising. It is going according to plan. Hope is still alive. Thanks for the nice summary.
westcoastlad · Aug 12, 2021 10:29 AM
@westcoastlad yeah hope it gets passed, would be a huge relief for so many people
username619 · Aug 12, 2021 10:51 AM
Yeah Pandeyji is true. I think even House has to pass this black blue print first. Sept 15 is the deadline to come up with the legislation, then is the time when Elizabeth McDonah can say yes or no to immigration provision, as far as I have understood. In the meantime, I guess TPS extension/re-designtion or DED must come before then b/c of 60 days thing. I expect early next week or so.
BiratSwaroop · Aug 12, 2021 12:56 PM
yeah i hope they announce redesignation/extension, planning to join masters while working on tps would be helpful
