Hope all of your weekend is going well. Life is funny and weird at times. I spent many years thinking what this life is all about! What is the point of doing anything when everything in creation is doomed to decay and death. Then, I started thinking about ancient Seers and what they have to say about life. Life is too short to repeat all the mistakes done by ancestors. Therefore, one should always be open to ideas from the past. One ancient Risi once said -- "This world is indescribable. There is Real and Unreal both involved in this world. Therefore, one cannot affirm or deny world's existence." Having said this, he closed his eyes and went into deep samadhi. Goals and aspirations are important in life. Otherwise, you would be like a living corpse. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing right now is the right place and right time for you. This is your "Prarabdha Karma" which is fructifying now. This is the life you dreamed of. Therefore, acknowledge and accept your current situation. Once you accept this, so much of stress goes away because you do not blame anyone for your current situation. Then, once you do this, focus on your "Freedom of Choice." This Freedom of Choice is dictated by your Value System and your Emotional Intelligence. Aspire for good and great things in life. This can be material goals or spiritual goals or both, and act accordingly. However, it is important to follow dharma when doing karma. Karma alone is neither good nor bad. The motivation behind Karma makes it good or bad. Once you start acting, your Karma becomes "Sanchita Karma." This Sanchita Karma alone fructifies in your next lives (sometime in this present life also) as Prarabhdha Karma. In Upanishad, it is said that - You are your deepest desires. In other words, you are the director of your present life and future lives. Therefore, don't be a fatalist and leave everything to fate. ACT NOW!
