i think Maoists should let army chief Katuwal complete his remaining term. but in case Katuwal is removed by Maoists, army coup in Nepal at the present situation is just impossible. first, for whom he would go for coup? for himself? no. for army? no. some army general themself want to see Katuwal removed. for the gone palace? no. palace is itself divided now and many supporters of palace are now Maoists or others. even there is fight between old king and his son, how come army would get support form palace and old supporters? for democracy? no. army has no history of fighting for democracy or for empowering people. for political parties? no. other political parties will gain nothing from army coup; they might lose their images just because they are encouraging army chief for not to step down or discouraging maoists not to sack army chief. UML will no way support army coup and NC will not support either because of its democratic history, where NC leader and Girija's right hand Sujata herself is for sacking army chief now. civil society leaders are lobbying themselves for removal of army chief; so they will not support the army coup. President himself is so weak that he can not handle the situation if there is direct rule by president or by army. so nothing is going to happen if Maoists sack army chief. they know it; so they might sack Katuwal.

Maoist are delaying action against Mr. Kattuwala not because they are afraid of Army or Mr. Kattuwala or Army Coup. They just want that congress will not make it a  political issue.  Maoist still has over 20,000 PLA with them and they already have good  controller in Nepal Army including Army Second Man Mr. Khadka. Maoist were able to chase the 240 year old Shah dynasty from the country; Mr Kattuwal is just a Bhattuwa of old Monarchy - no doubt he will be fired sooner or later.

It is not about people's supremacy at all. If you talk about people's supremacy, what about the supreme court's decision. Someone who doesn't abide by the rules, has no right to sack anyone who's apparently abiding by the rules. Also, having your party members protest around in Kathmandu as a pretext for sacking the army chief sucks.

mf jwala! sajha is not a place for ignorant nutcases like u. do u have even a slightest knowledge what moist control over Nepal Army means? ya maoist chase 240 yr old shah dynasty, so what? wat's the result? nepalese wanted to move ahead but ended up taking a wrong turn. Nepal got rid of a tumer but got Aids instead.
