S. Shrestha University of New Haven Guru Kedar Baral, an interesting, admirable and helpful person, who has given so much to society at such a young age. I personally get to spend with him very little time due to his tight schedule. He has a full time job like every one of us. The only difference of his job and ours is we work for our self living and for our family but he works to counsel every family he could reach when they don’t see any solution near to their horizon. His extraordinary power and skill on Shamanism has been a great resource to provide different kind of services to heel people form emotional, mental and physical pain and distress. I was astonished to see the way he reads people problem and provide cures with various method, it was just mind blowing. Besides reading past, present and future of one’s life, his vast knowledge on life, death and karma influence me to see life with different perspective. His belief of simple living high thinking is very practical with his life. Every now and then when I get to see him, he is with his small hand bag and trying to reach some family to help them with his skill and power as they have requested with him. His love and compassion to every people to help with his skill as far as he could is something unusual in this self centered world. His service doesn’t bargain with price rather warm hospitable and friendly environment he enjoys when he reside in one’s house. His residency changes so often that we did breakfast together at around 10 am and by noon he asked me to drop him at Union Station so that he could reach to this family who resides in Boston as they been trying to get hold of him. He is so full of energy and his passion to help every family is just something I cannot express with words. I hardly spend a day with Guru Kedar Baral but it is unforgettable in so many ways. I had promised him to take him to New Haven and give a quick trip around Yale University. As we were preparing to go to Yale University after breakfast, I was surprise to see from early morning that his phone was ringing as if it was one of the customer service line, one after another. Every call he received were from different state. I was just thrilled to see that people asking remedy for so many different kinds of problems. It was one phone call that he receives totally shocked me; the call was from Nepal to inform him about his mother health and she was hospitalized in intensive care unit as her health was critical. He got little nervous, but I was so anxious to know how he handles his own family problem and at the same time other family who have been sharing their problem since morning. After few phone calls he made back to Nepal, I dare to ask him why he is not able to cure his own mother. His response was “it just something out of my hand but I am sure it’s on God’s hand to decide and God will do what so ever is fare to me and to my mother.” It was noon, as he requested I dropped him at Union train station, he started his journey to Boston to meet family from there. Somehow we met again almost after couple of months in one of the occasion that we have invited him. He has the same hand bag and this time he got ride from one of the family to come to Connecticut, they dropped him and left. The first thing that came to my mind was his mother and her health. I took him to a main lounge were we all were celebrating. After a while I asked him about his mother health and his response touched my heart, he replied me “God help those who help others, she is fine.” A basic norm of life which we forget very often is something every people who gets acquainted with Guru Kedar Baral can learn and apply in one’s life. I wish him success on every step of his life. Thank you for letting us know. Ya, but what is he doing? Is he a philosopher, religious guy or what? There are lot of people like him, in India and in Nepal. When I see his video, he seems like Dhami Jhakri, what language he was saying, difficult to understand. Any way, it was good to know, but if you want to be different, please try to do some kind of fruitful things, extra-ordinary thoughts, good philosophical angle of life (probably something Sirish ko Phool by parijat). Please Please no more dhongi like Indians Babas, Sadhus, Ram Bahadhur Bamjam, Gaut Bechne Ramdev. Any way no offense again. Best of luck.

It is traditional way to dance, the modern way is Sakira, Hips don't lie. What is this guy doing in USA, shaking people like in 90th century. I used to work in Gorkha 10 years ago and I had seen these types of Dhami Jhankri. I was surprised, even now in villages, these types of things is almost vanished and now he is trying to do this things in USA. It is good to know that he is from Nepal and Nepali are smart to do these types of things because these types of nautankis are always done by Indian. The person who started this thread is the same guy Kedar Baral = "baral guru". People seek a magical power when they are in unfortunate and depressed state of their life. If nothing is going right, then people look for a mystical change in their life. Guru Baral is one of the oppertunist who watns to take advantage of people's bad situation. And why is he in America? Almost 90 percent of Nepali people in US are with hard time and looking for some "Chamatkar!!". This is the right place to make dollars easily by making people fool.
