mr. legend , Got an opportunity to visit Salem on Halloween week, it was a good trip. If you are nearby you must visit once. Once you are there , will find people to mingle.

halloween is the worst time to go to salem, i don't wanna deal with the traffic and then look for a parking spot. have not been there during halloween.
