go go with the first one man opportunities won't come again and again, first make ur career, i used to be like to always looking for social life and giving up opportunities. u can see ur frens on weekends, jut catch a plane and yeah party time on wekends, and midwest is not bad, u said white people they are not like those of south trust me u will easily get along and enjoy ur life.

If you liked to be around people you know so much why did you leave Nepal? Go back and you don't have to wait 2 years to get the GC (you are already a citizen of that country) and you probably don't have to do minimum wage job. Plus you won't have to deal with all the whites that you are scared of. Not trying to be mean or condascending but c'mon dude!! Are you serious about this question? Grow up. If the option 1 is legitimate you have to make a grown-up choice. I am assuming you can still apply for GC through this job...possibly a more legit way than option 2.

thank you antiracist, sunsweesh, Phatte, sanju.baba, pixie, Kiddo for your input on this. i truly appreciate your time and input. pixie> i believe there are "next to nothing" number of nepalese that would do that...that was a nice answer....thanks bro kiddo> i left nepal in search of better education and opportunity. went to university in the midwest with few nepalese on campus and majority of whites. i am not scared of them but i would prefer to have some social link with my fellow country men. the option 1 is very legitimate.its a good company that i have done two internships with when i was in college. about GC with the company, i am not sure if they will sponsor that. H1 for sure. option 2 is also legit but like i said, starting at the botton of the ladder at the job/company. thanks for your candid input kiddo.

what city are you talking about? Tons of people on here went to school in midwest so they might be able to shed more lights. Besides, what do you mean by it is certain that you'll get a GC in two years if you moved to a metro community and worked low paying jobs? :S

Bidroh its Albert Lea, MN currently i am in houston and my fiance is going to college here. shes came here as a student on F1 and got dv lottery the same semester. she will be eligible for citizenship this year. she can file for me after she gets approved so in about two years i will have GC. i recently graduated and we have been engaged for about a year now. we have been together since college days in Nepal. she is okay with me taking the opportunity to go to MN for my career but its will be difficult for both of us being far away emotionally. if i choose to go, it will be for around 3 years. she cant leave becasue she just got into university here.   sunsweesh you have a very good point there. thank you for your thoughts. i will remember that.thanks for the encouragement

Jai_nepal i sure can make friends and i do have friends of other race and ethnicity. jasle j bhaney pani aakhir last ma tehi afno nepali saathi le nai help/support garchha.kuire ko jaat pani dekheko ho saathi. if you did not need to assimilate with desis and nepalis then you would not be here in sajha at the first place replying and looking at posts. you would be in a chat room of AOL buddy.   sunsweesh may be i did my friend...lets keep this anonymous...lol
