Hello Rampure, some of my friends also passed BSC Nursing in India. All 4 of them applied in USA, but no one got the visa. The counselor told them that they will not come back and will stay in USA. These days, getting visa for MSN program is difficult. Though I am doing BSN here N about to graduate this semester, but I think getting visa for MSN is difficult from nepal. I am not being negative but thats what the trend is being going in USA embassy. However, to be accepted in MSN program, You should have RN (registered Nurse) license before. Once you get accepted in Nursing program, she should get RN license and she would be eligible for MSN program. I am not sure if they accept BSN course directly in USA and will be even allowed for MSN. I heard that there is a company in Nepal that prepares for NCLEX (National Council Licensure EXamination) and its pretty expensive as well. My college use Kaplan from the begining of Nursing program and we are paying since we admitted in nursing program. I dont know rest of the process and i guess rest is same as other program. But for sure, she should have RN license to join MSN.

 Thapar 20, Thank you so much for your kind information. She doesn't need to worry about the visa because of her status. Still I'm confused on one thing: She should get RN before applying for her M.S. Nursing as prerequisite or she can get that after admitted to the MS Nursing program. If need to be RN before applying, as u suggest she can prepare for NCLEX in Nepal or India. I heard she can attend the NCLEX exam from India too. Is that right?  Thank u once again.

Yes, you need to have RN first to apply in MSN. Also, it is pretty competative to get an admission therefore you should start looking for a university as you are preparing for NCLEX. My universtiy is not taking any application for FALL. However, they are accepting for Spring 2012.  Good Luck !!

 Happy 2009, Thanks alot for your idea and information. Bad thing is that it takes few months more to get certification from nursing council of Bangladesh. Here to attend NCLEX exam, they need to get credential evaluation from their institute. They told me that they need all transcript along with foreign council registration certificate too to get equivalncy report. Probably, She need to wait for nursing registration on that country and can apply for the credential evaluation, then NCLEX exam.  Good luck for you too for your educational progess.

Hello Rampure, My college also has MSN program but i dont know if they are taking any applications for fall or not. One of my friend who graduate a year ago went to New York University (NYU). I have seen that some of the universities will take applications. Currently I am in Buffalo, NY. If You want to know about the applications for Fall or spring in my college, I can provide some information regarding it and also I would like ask to search in University of Buffalo for MSN program. But i highly recommend doing GRE also so that she can get schollarship as well. But if she doesnt have any problem with visa and allowed to work here legally, I would suggest getting license and work for couple of years and do further study. It is beacuse good universities will ask for clinical experiences to go for MSN program and it is also profitable for her as well. I am also planning for the same thing. Doing MSN is not that bad if she gets clinical experiences working here N then doing NP (nurse practitoner specialised in Neuro or cardiac), they have high demand of those. When i was in clinical, the whole hospital was run by one neuro NP. I will ask with my frns in nepal where they prepare for NCLEX. But, remember also, NCLEX is not like college exam.. Some of my frns who did nursing in Nepal  and gave NCLEX in USA, has failed 2-3 times. N since she did BSN in bangaledesh, it would take around 3-4 months for preparing also and the questions depends on the state of board where she applied.. For. Eg: I am in NewYork and I will be asked to those common disease which are found in NY, I wont be asked to know about snake poisoning but i have to know disease such as Lime disease.... But, it all depends on her as welll. I can send you my college Info if she wants to go in MSN program (but only on email pls).. Well Gud luck...

 Thapar20,  I appreciated your great help in this regard. Yes, last night I googled and find out some facts about the National council of Nursing and state board. Yes, definitely It will be harder for the people who did their academic work out side the US. I think it will be great for her if you find out the place where NCLEX preparation class has been taken in Nepal through the help of your friend. Thanks god, I got some one who gave me such an excellent idea regarding that matter.  Offcourse, I will contact you in future if need to get more information. Thanks a lot..........
