Hi Everyone, I am trying to go back Nepal from Minneapolis to Kathmandu. While I'm searching for cheap airfare, I got the cheapest one that cost $1900.00 but bad thing is need to wait 13 hours in Chicago Ohare airport in tansit. I have a close friend in Chicago and want to meet him during 13 hours transit. What will be the consequences if I take international connection flight from Minneapolis to Kathmandu and I want to be out from the Chicago airport for 10 hours to meet my friend? I just worried about my laugauges. I'm not sure once I load my laugauges from Minneapolis, again I need to claim it in chicago and reload it again or not. Basically, If there is no necessary to claim and reload the bagages in Chicago, 13 hours transit is nothing for me but has plenty of worth because I will get chance to meet my best friend. Give an Idea Sajha basi Nepali Brosis if you have real message. Plz don't post if you are not sure. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

It is not a good idea to involve in activities while going home. God forbid, but what if you have an accident within that 13 hr period with your friend and you have to b hospitalized. My suggestion is get the ticket from Chicago-ktm and visit your friend (minneapolis-chicago, separate ticket) few days before your Chicago-ktm flight.

If your Minneapolis-Chicago fare is $200; your Chicago-ktm fare will cone down to $1700. You will lose nothing. Instead will get extra time to spend with a best friend.
