I am graduating this December after 7 years in university and community college. What are the chances of my parents getting visitor visa for my graduation. Please share your experience or advice.

Chances to get Visitor visa is ~~90%
Your parents intention should be clear, and off course you need to be lucky.

Good luck :) and congratulations !!

Thank you dream_big

I had few friends whom parents visa were denied saying their kids over stayed. So i was worried if that will be the same case for my parents as well.

unlucky Sir,

I graduated after 7 yrs in college. I asked them to apply on my graduation..unfortunately they got denied twice on the same year. at first Interview after initial hi/hello they asked "whats your son will do after his graduation?" .. as my father puts it he casually replied "he will do whatever is best for him".. as soon as they hear the consular looked on their eyes and just replied 'I am sorry I cannot give you the visa." My father was regretting that he should have said some different sentence like I will bring him back home so and so... I again asked them to reapply next month.. as they went back on the second interview seemed like they already looked into my parents interview records. after initial Hi/Hello, without any further questions they just replied "like last time.. we are unable to give you a visa this time as well". Time passed, I graduated and moved along.
Luckily got picked on H1B, worked for couple of years and re-applied their visa as a Sponsor.. Finally got approved, they came to visit me after 10 long years. Been a decade never been back to Nepal so reunion was pretty sweet. as they say "patience is a virtue"..

I am not saying you will go through the same phase as I did.. but that was my experience. Have a faith brother.. Good luck to you.

Visitor visa rejection rate in Nepal is around 42%. Your parents should definitely apply for the visa but keeping in mind that it could go either way.

I am also graduating in December. Do my parents need to take any documents for the visa interview if anybody knows?

Thank you well_wisher for sharing your experience, very motivating. I will ask my parents to try and hope for the best.

@Bibek
I do not think parents will need anything besides the invitation and sponsor letters. Besides that i am sending the degree audit.

So u have no problem with someone saying acceptance rate at 90% but u have problem with my number at 42%!!! Look it up for 2015 average us visa rejection rate by category n country and you will get that number.
