it is good (beneficial to us) as long as we are more consumers and less producers of IPR-protectionables

Music??? Well, if you can listen to them on the radio for free, watch it on TV for free, whats so wrong about getting a mp3 version of that song and listen it on your ipod or save it and burn it to the CD for your listening pleasure? It's just a business man talking, pissing and moaning about it and calling it piracy because they have someone like Britney Spears out there, who can't sing at all, but she can shake her booty and using her, they are making fortunes. Do you think Robert Palmer back in 60's would have given damn if led zeppelin's album didn't sell? Just give em some pot and guitar and peace and a candle, and they will give you classics. Gone are those days. Do you think Aerosmith cared about money when they used to produce classics? The day they started caring about money, we got songs like "Pink" and "Jaded". Time has changed, they should seek other way of making money, like doing more concerts, selling albums for cheap. Fk Metallica for the lawsuits, as if they've been makin' great records lately. People ain't payin' penny for their LOAD's and RELOADS and st. Anger.

Software? I think some of them are way expensive than they should be. With upgrades and new versions coming up every year, they should be way lot cheaper. :S

agree with kalankisthan,

Some of the softwares are priced way too high... look at windows Office , i agree its great piece of software but 300+$ from each one of us.. thats too highly priced.

if there wasn't software piracy how many of nepalese(+ other asians) would have been able to use Windows, Office,Photoshop,Visual studio,Oracle...

and all of these software giants know about piracy and kinda somehow encourage piracy (atleast in asia) to make sure people atleast use their software. M$ would like to have people using pirated WinXP rather than switching to Fedora.

Right on...kalankisthan
It's 100% true. It's all set for the rich nations to be able to buy cds, softwares. Why can't we do it. Kudos to the Chinese who make all the pirates. Metallica sucks big balls, esp that faggot Lars Ulrich, bastard Scandi and his gang of RedNecks. Why did I spend so many years of listening to them? Why? Why?
