I know there is another thread going on regarding Nepalese Embassy and the passport renewal. I need some serious suggestion, PLZ!

I noticed that my passport expired two weeks ago. It is my fault. I thought that my passport was good for ten years, but it was only for five years. I want to renew it as soon as possible.

Should I just mail the form and money? Or would it be a better if I fly to DC and show up at the embassy myself. Looking for responses from experienced ones. Please!

my passport was expired by a month, so i called the embassy personnel and, as he said, i filled out the form and mailed the old passport with the said amount of $80.00 as money order through post. In about five weeks i received my new passport through mail. Be careful with the stamps as you need to bear all the expenses, the embassy will only accept pre-stamped envelope.
