Hey guys
I have applied for student visa in Germany and the guy in the consular section took a interview, it went well,and he said we will send passport from post.Later on the way, he call me and ask whether I have another I-20 (student part) or not? He told that I need it to enter USA.I camee out in the sense I got visa. but apart from $100 sevis fee, he never charged me other fee. My friends here thinks if they do not charge visa fee, then there is high possibility of rejection.
if anybody have suggestion or similar case ? pls advice me

The matter is very unclear to me. U mean you applied for a student visa for US in Germany? If that's the case and if they have charged you for SEVIS fee, i think you are getting the visa. SEVIS is there to track you in the future once you enter US as a student. I don't think they will take the fee to reject you.

I heard they charged 200$ extra for nepali student.but they donot charged me.that why I was confused

As far as I know, you have to pay $100 SEVIS fee and $100 visa application fee before the interview at the time of application submission. If you are issued a visa then you have to pay $200 visa issuance fee.

Your case as funky said is still unclear. Better talk to the appropriate person. Visa issuance fees are based on reciprocity, and if you are a nepali citizen you are required to pay $200 visa issuance fee.

Plato, yes I am nepali citizen, but the consular doesnot ask the $100 visa application fee.
what that mean ?
