Better to register in monster.com and upload your current resume. You will be either contacted by various recruiters and hiring managers from direct companies (biotech). Also, you may search and apply immediately by using your information and resume in mosnter. In my experience, monster is one of the best resources for you to find a good job in time. www.monster.com

www.dice.com would be another choice but u may be tired of picking so many calls from indian consultancies (most of them are IT realted job but with Biotech application). Better if you find direct companies and look for direct hire positions rather than contract or temp. Good Luck!

KoolGuy,

You can to contact different scientific recruiters who will help you find a job. You might try directly to comapnies also, but it might be a bit harder getting job offers from the companies. Most of them contact recruiters for candidates for "contract to hire", "permanent", or "temporary" positions. Where are you located?? In the east coast, you can job scope in your field is high as many science related companies belong there including many pharmaceuticals.

Some of the scientific recruiters are:

Kelly Scientific, Aerotek scientific, On Assignment Lab Support, Scientific careers, K force, Adecco Technicals among others. You can google to find out about their regional offices. Call and set up an appointment wth the local recruiter. This will help you a lot. If you want any more information, reply to this thread and also include where are you located. You can also join research centers or Medical Reserach centers.

Good Luck!

I reckon that you should first try to apply for an internship position in an industry for a year and then you could make your way to the top like that. Just look for the website of companies that you might be interested in and they have various internship opportunities.

For undergrads freshly out of college and without any experience or just some college level experience, it normally starts from $15/hour. This is the average but surely it depends on company and the place you work at. For Masters, it would be like $20/hour starting.

Good Luck.

I then recommend going to Industry and getting a MBA degree once you gain some experience.

Campus recruiting is the first thing I would look at. Your department may have contacts with certain industries. Scientific conference is another place where numerous companies interview. From my experience, posting your resume directly in the company's website does not work.

But, I highly recommend getting a PhD because you will be starting at much higher position and it will be easier to move up in the corporate ladder. Besides, it will be easier to start your permanent residency process. You may be eligible for EB1 category, but certainly for EB2.
