Hi,

I was on OPT one month ago. I quit job, went Nepal , apply visa for PhD and got new visa for me and my wife. Now, I am in dialama that can I extend my OPT with my previous I20 without using new I20 of PhD. I apply F2 visa for my wife from new PhD I20 because they rejected F2 when I was on OPT. As I am in STEM, I can extend my OPT. Please comment on this situation.

I am not 100% sure but since you are already accepted in a new program with an new I-20 and your sevis has been already transferred, you old i-20 is no longer valid.
So your OPT  no longer exists. hence no questions of getting the STEM extension.

Hope that answers you question. Contact you International advisor too..they should be able to help you out.
