Has anybody here filed for I824 - following to join - or know about it.? when to file and how long does it take?

To file for it,  is approval of AOS (I485) is enough or need to have green card on hand? Thanks.

Lahurekanchha, As far as I know generally I140 is 2-4 months and I485 is about 3-6 months, but both can be filed together. I824 is generally approved in about 2-3 months. But what is the time after that? I have heard conflicting stories from a year to several years. Might depend upon country too. Any one here done or familiar with cases? Thanks.

Here I824 is for following to join processing.

Thanks Guys...

Mine situation is I have Master Degree and I am One Promotion away to qualify for EB2!! My company says they'll start GC process Next year!! [(Hope to get promoted by next year...(might take one more year too)]

So my question is, if they start a process on EB3 and if i get promoted and falls on EB2 Category within a year or two, does it makes sense to do the process again on EB2??Considering under EB3 its talking anything between 5-7 years to get the GC right??

And personally I don't want to stay on for such a long time (as i have MBA Dream :-), so thinking should I follow the lead(GC) or swim against the flow(MBA and chuck GC from present company??
