 Hello,
I will need to log in remotely from nepal once in a while and work remote desktop. What is the fastest connection I can get? My uncle says there is 5mbps pen drive i can use. Will it be workable? Is there anything faster than that?

Where can i get it? Dont really care about price.

nepal telecom provides a CDMA cell phone service called sky phone. it has better coverage than GSM cell phone provided by the telecom. if the place you'll be working has sky phone coverage, you can use the SIM (also called RUIM) card to access internet. i'm not sure about the speed though becaue i've never used it but one of my friends did and it worked for him pretty well except in really rainy/cloudy days. maybe your uncle is talking about the same thing.

Ncell is best choice if u want something to be ready in 20 minutes and you need to be mobile as well while in Nepal. Just go to Kingsway and buy the sim and hsdpa modem and u r up. I was working remotely while in nepal during last week . I don;t exactly know how fast u need. Usually the wired connection will be faster than the wireless ones. Do u really need the wireless ones? Subisu has really fast one. U can ask smbd already in ktm establish the service such that it is ready when u arrive in ktm. Are you planning to be mobile while in Nepal or u will just work off from one location only?
