मैले अमेरिका मा मास्टर्स सिददायेर OPT मा काम गर्न थाले केहि वर्ष अगाडी. मेरो कम्पनी ले मेरो वोर्किंग विसा को लागि आबेदन दियो .... तर कुनी के मिलेन भनेर विसा कार्यालय बाट पत्र आयो.... मेरो कम्पनी ले उनीहरु ले मागेको सबै पठाई दियो.....र केहि समय पछि मेरो विसा स्वीकार भएको पत्र आयो.... मलाई PhD गर्ने रहर थियो र त्येई बेला मा मेरो PhD application एउटा campus बाट स्व्रिकित भएको खबर आयो.... मैले मेरो कम्पनी लाई मैले यो जानकारी गराए र उनि हरु ले पनि मलाई बेस्ट ओफ लक् भनेर रेलेअसे गरि दियो....उनि हरु ले मेरो विसा revoke को लागि आबेदन दिए... मैले campus मा पदी सुरु गरे...केहि समय पछि international office मा गएर बुज्दा मेरो मेरो स्तिथि बिद्यार्थी भनेर देखाउछ र status परिवर्तन denied भएर देखाउछ.... मलाई यो summer मा conference को लागि भारत जानु छ...आइले मेरो बिधयार्थी विसा सिद्दी सक्यो..त्येई भएर मा भारत बाट नेपाल गएर विसा लगाउने विचार गरेको...

The very first fact is that if your visa been already expired and you are traveling outside states surely now you need new stamped visa to enter USA again. And if you are going India now, why don't you stop in Mexico and apply for visa and then travel to Asia or wherever. Cause I have seen my friends who have not been denied in there. In Nepal, heard things are complicated, but I won't say it's that so tight too if your papers are clean. Good luck.

Looks like u are safe man. As per my understanding it looks like the following case. When your company filed h1, they also have to file for change of status which will be effective after oct. so when ur h1 is initially approved your change of status might have been approved. But as your revoke your h1b before oct, your change of status never triggered and might be showing as denied in sevis status.

If this is a case, if are safe for stamping. But just to make sure better take consultation from good lawyer who knows about student visa and sevis system..

 Sorry to hear your situation there buddy....the good thing is you have a valid I 20, and a Phd Programme with enough funding. So, write a letter from your Professor and show it to the embassy. I would doubt they would have any reason  not to issue you a visa. Yeah if you want, schedule a visa interview at Mexico one of these days and you are good  to go!
