I checked with my parents and they said that Sony Bravia costs around 80K in Nepal and here it is around $300. I am thinking of taking one to Nepal.  I do not know how much TIA custom charges for TV ? Anybody have any experience or idea??

Thanks in advance!

If you do not have to pay extra luggage charge.
If you do not have to pay Rs. 150 - 250 per inch custom fee.

Even paying these , less than what you get in Nepal as well It is compatible to PAL system. Please do the math.

I took 26 samsung hd , had to buy converter for $3000, Did not pay extra luggage paid little  Bhansar mahasul.

magorkhe1! thanks for the reply. You said you paid $3K for the converter???  So you mean Sony Bravia is compatible in nepal right? I do not spend extra money if it is not compatible..

If you want to bring tv make sure it is dual or PAL compatible.
Even with the converter is it not good as direct hook up.
