You can include cash assets on your 130, uscis needs double cash values on the amount beyond what your partner makes. Poverty line is 16K for two So work with someone to get some cash into your partners account.
New rules on affidavit require multi year tax returns, employment etc, not as easy as just writing a letter.
You can even include your income in addition to your spouse to meet this number, either income in nepal or here, with Valid work permit ie.
