Hello guys,

I am a grad student. I was planning to go back to Nepal on december. But the problem is I have only 2 classes left which is one in fall and other in spring. In 2010, I took 9 in spring and 9 in summer since it was offered only in summer. So my question is:

1. I wanted to go 1 week earlier so I got permission from my professor too. So will I be able to go 1 week ahead?

2. Can I only take one class in fall since my advisor said it is okay but I want to be sure.

3. On spring the class is online which I should be able to do it from nepal also and can I come little bit late on february but the classes starts on january.

Thank you all ahead!!

Yes,provided that u r done with ur finals.

Advisor(Academic or International). If Academic they know nothing abt immigration.I would suggest to consult with Internal Advisor. My school didn't allow intl students to take one class in one sem unless  u r in deadlock situation(1 course left to graduate at the end) coz of immigration rules.

3. On spring the class is online which I should be able to do it from nepal also and can I come little bit late on february but the classes starts on january.

Don't do that.

Please consult with International Advisor on:

1. Online classes and immigration status when u r in F1.

2.1 class this fall.

You must consult with international advisor before making decision. Better consult with both academic advisor & International advisor. These all depend on your school & international advisor.

Appreciate you guys for ur reply. I forgot to mention before that I talked with both academic and international advisors. They said it would be okay to go earlier and to take one class in fall as that's the only class being offered in my program.
But it seems it'd be a risky business to come back little late. So m not up for it. Anyways cheers guys!!
