I_nepali,

So, you've got a place there named after Colonel Niven - the Kilt wearing 10th Gurkha? Have met him on a few occasions, the last time being in the summer of 2003 during a conference. Niven Lines - interesting.

Where's Dannah gone btw? Hope you had a lovely Dashain. Mine was superb - started on Sat last and finished off with a party last night which went into the wee hours of the morning.

Well guess he has served quite a lot of his yrs in the gurkha force there and also devoted a lot of his time in nepal(did hear from some that he did a lot of charity stuffs there :oD so if anyone is gonne argue..sheesh im giving the benefit of the doubt who cares about other rumours ;o) hehe..) so yap having a Niven Line sounds very appropriate :oD He knows more about nepali and nepali culture than me!!that i can assure u :oD

and im here reading..just dun type much..not in this nick anyways..had enuf of this nick ;oP...once was addict and well as they say when a 'dog barks its a dog' dunno why i still bother with nicks ;oP....anonymity me foot!!just fun to try fool oneself tho ;oP..ok that ramblings was uncalled for ;oP..

btw finished off re?dashain has just started!!!!!wat do u mean by finished ?:O and nice to hear urs was lovely :oD..mine well..i met up with close frens during the weeknd..so can i ask for more?:oD read this smwhere..frens are relative u can choose re ;o)....other than that...same old for me..cant afford to go to any nepali dashain gathering due to lack of time..(exams etc) but well got to meet me frens and have a good dinner...wat else can i ask for?hoina?:oD....

anyways i better head off to do some productive work hehe...and dun mind me crudeness ;o)...nepali ma zero chu..english ma pani testai :o( hehe.....

anyways have a great dashain :oD....and catch u around..hope to read more(u said u will be typing about ur travels..so yap lookin foward to that :oD..)dictionary tanna chalaunu parcha hola when i read..tara some things are worth the effort hoina ;o)..hehe

and dyam i_nepali cheers for this pic too..why didnt i think about using earth google to check out GC!!!...and u put the addy here?:O someone still lives there!!!u wanna ppl gettn spams?;oP...

and oh i_nepali if u dunno(i assumed u already knew me quite a while back..if not ask that topah ;oP..)..i used to live in everest heights ;o)....Happy dashain too...heard u guys having a gathering..this weekend hoina?have a great one :oD....

Sandburstlahure and Dannah, good to hear that you had alreadd celebreted Dasain. Well, here in Newcastle, the Dasain gathering is this Saturday, 15th of Sep. The number of Nepalese gathering are about 35 of which 9 are Singapore bhanjas and bhanjee.

So Dannah, how many GC bhanja and bhanjee in your part of Australia ?

Dannah,

Good job mate. Cheers. Thanks for the info. My cousin served with 10th Gurkhas, Colonel Niven's regiment before it got renamed and amalgamated with my own, 7th Gurkhas. Yes, he does actually know quite a bit of the country and its people. More than you and I! About my travel journals. Have written a little during when I was in Central America, West Africa and the Far East. Quite a bit of typing up/trimming to do though before I can share them with you lot but we'll see.

First day in office after Dashain office - I am snowed under as you can imagine. Good luck with your studies.

I meant to say: after Dashain 'break' - not office. Another dyslexic bout eh, but it's got nothing to do with the Dashain do last night, mind you - so no morning after. Yeah, still a teetotal for my sins! Well, except for a wee sip of champagne/wine during official functions! Never got round to swapping my cup of mocha at Coasta with those pints of ale at Jolly Farmers. Unbelievable, I know, isn't it?

Carpe diem

Took this picture while I was going for work. What you see in the pictures are students from Bartley Secondary School which is located at Jalan Bunga Rampai, near GC and Joo Seng. These students are running up the slope of a field at Joo Seng.

Talking about singapore, I think its heaven on earth. I was there for a visit when I was a kid, but till this date i remember few places and probably will never forget till rest of my life, unless I completely loose my memory!!

I remember going to santosa island in a cable car and watching the musical water dance (it was just awesome). THe butterfly musium there was fantastique!!

I think the we stayed at Lady Hill, can't remember where exactly is it as its been years.

Ani atlast Changi international....ohhhhh, haven't seen a airport like that!! The new building was still under construction but even the old one, it was just remarkable!! Can't wait to go back!!

~peace~
