"IS GOD DEAD"- A question that very often comes to my mind these days. An omnipresent & omnipotent god who is benevolent, a kind of fatherly figure who gives gifts or withholds them . Is this god dead? If not then why is he/she silent. Why is he/she allowing man to do something they shouldn't be doing. Some say"I am Hindu", some say"I am Muslim". Some say"I am American", some say"I am Afgan". Some say"I am Madhesi", some say"I am Pahade". Some say"I am Communist", some say"I am Congress". What is all this? What are we fighting for? Why so much differences? And why is god letting this happen? Why don't God use his/her chakra (that Geeta talks about) and chop the head of all those shit-heads who do nothing than spread hatred. Every now and then, we hear news of people being killed, we see photos of blood-bloated bodies of men, women, childrens and animals. HOW COULD A LIVING GOD ALLOW THIS? And above all, Man, a rational animal, who is superior amongst all other animals, has respect for no other species. We slaughter animals just merely for the sake of food, clothes, rituals, and sometimes even for fun. Is there any species that man hasn't eaten. Say ants,frogs,cockroaches,snakes,dogs,..........,whales. Do they not deserve to live? HOW COULD A LIVING GOD ALLOW THIS? Will we die of starvation if we don't eat meat? Will we die of cold if we don't wear leather or fur? AND HOW COULD A LIVING GOD allow man to slaughter poor animals on his/her name. Have we forgotten that even animals can response to stimuli, even they have the right to live. And what's their fault, that they can't speak?, that they are innocent?, that they can't fire guns?, that they can't explode bombs?, or 'that they can't protest for their rights by killing innocent people and destroying national assets to get the government's attention. Cattles who were once revered partners in Hindu culture now suffer dreadful lives and abuse. Male calves are taken away from their mothers shortly after birth and sold to butchers. Did they come to this earth only to eaten by some hungry bastards? HOW COULD A LIVING GOD ALLOW THIS? DID GOD GET A HEART-ATTACK BY WATCHING THESE PATHETIC ACTIVITIES OF MAN AND NOW IS ON KOMA? "or" IS GOD DEAD? "or" GOD NEVER REALLY EXISTED? "or" IS GOD BUSY DANCING WITH APSARAS?

Yes, God is dead (probably never existed). Look at the below and tell me he's alive!! I wish there indeed was a God so we would have none of these

No, GOD is not dead but HE gives us a free will. Instead of slaving us with his control HE gives us FREE WILL to choose between wrong and right. It is upto us to choose what is wrong and right and to do the right thing. Unfortunately some people choose their freedom of choice to do wrong things. IF HE was to control all our moves then we would be complaing why GOD controls everything??? He has given us the the knowledge to choose and balance our own environemnt/ situation. Of course there are times when we are down and look at the world around us makes us feel like He does not exist. BUT HE does ...just look at the creation and nature and you will be amazed.

Yeah right!! If there was a God and he created all of nature and everything inherent within the Solar system then why are mishappenings, catastrophes, human turmoil prevalent??? God is supposed to be prefect and him being one who makes no errors (as he IS God), his creation should be perfect too. What baffles me more is we humans, as some scriptures say were made by God in his form. And having witnessed/told/read about all the flaws in us humans, I'd say if a God did exist then God has to be as flawed as us all!!

God is not dead. How can something without life die? Don't you have grandparents who believe moon is a god or the sun is a god. We as human beings have this constant craving to be part of something. Like we congregate in sajha to be a part of a bigger group. Human beings created god in order to be a part of something large. Yes it's pretty large. Just think about it.. omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent... very very large. And we are so very proud to be a part of this big imaginary omni-group. So proud we are that we are willing to kill other human beings who follow a different omni-group. Our belief is right and others is wrong. In every belief groups, there are people who exploit this need of human beings in order to direct their faith for personal gains. The fanatics, the politicians who use the omni-group sentiments to send thousands of their people to kill other people. If you think about it, God is not dead. God is not alive. But God sure does kill people ...

He is only dead to people that ask that question. Before you even get there, you should ask yourself WHO IS GOD ? Now if you cannot even idenfy that then how do you know if he is dead or not ? Now people who take god for granted(people who don't question logic and reasoning), he will neve die(these are also known as religious fanatics) !!

You are thinking from your perspective, from the perspective of the creation. Stop for a moment and think from the perspective of the creator. Does the creation's feelings as strong to you now. Animals kill each other, and it's the protocol that the creator has made when he/she created the creation. The creator also gave varying degree of sense, that makes some creations smart and senseful. Now, it's the intelligent creation's duty to keep peace, order and care for other less intelligent creations. If the creation doesn't follow that then the creation is no different than the other creations, and hence will be treated like the other creations by the creator. And god has some cruel catastrophic weapons to punish those creations. And then again the creations start thinking there is no god.

i agree with you samsara, god probably never eexisted. And even if he does exist , he must be having a good time up there in the sky watching us suffer , cry , laugh , .....etc. I don't understand, y did god even create us , maybe he was bored and wanted to do something creative. we r just a source of entertainment for him maybe "Eallyhood" .But wat abt us, wat r we doing here. we die and immediately after ,we r thrown back to this world, again we die and again we r thown back to this world..........and so on. but till when is this process goin to continue........

Do not mistake the laws of Nature with god. You can explain the laws of nature with science but we cannot explain the explain the existance of God through Science. That where they say gotta have faith. Faith on what ? Something I cannot see and reason with logic ? he he I have been prayed for a better Nepal for years .... Khoi ta mero prayer answers garyaaa ? So fug god.

In terms of Hindu mythology, The Bhagvad Gita is proof that God dies too. Back in college, I remember reading one of the chapters where it clearly states the various Gods' life-lines. It says about Indra's longetivity where he lives for certain human eons and Brahma's life-line equals certain million Indra lives and the death of one Brahma is only a blink of a Vishnu's eye. This to me was proof in itself that God like us humans had his time for judgement too! Can someone more knowldgeable in the Vedas/Puranas, etc. give an insight to this as it was a LONG damn time ago I read about this (can't recall clearly). Thanks

I read about this somewhere but it was quite an eye opener about how religious books are just stories. In the mahabharat, regarding the birth of Krishna, it is said that Kansa imprisoned his sister and her husband in a prison because during her wedding, there was an announcement over the PA system that his sisters 7th (or 9th) child would kill Kansa. So whenever a child was born, Kansas people would grab and kill the new born. this happened until Krishna was born, when due to a big storm he was able to be saved. NOW, what was Kansa thinking when he put those two in the same cell? Wouldn't they be bored sitting there all their life? Hadn't he heard that when a guy and girl shared same room the girl gets pregnant and has babies??? If he was trying to prevent the birth of their children, the only thing he had to do was separate them and save himself! Can Kansa have been that dumb???
