Nepalese Community in USA are very good and they have shown by their action.Everybody here knows but I would like to review some examples here:

1) People came together to help Pranav and he is with us only because of strong bond of our community
2) Sajha recently collected fund for Ritika
3) Nepalese community are coming together to help Alabama Students
4) People are doing their level best to educate child back home,building school.

and there are many other examples of togetherness of Nepalese Community.

Since Every people have their different style of living,we may observe lots of things we do not entertain.There are lots of Individual character come into play and hurts others sometime.but whenever time comes,Nepalese heart strikes and we will show our bonds.

I believe,we have very good community in USA

You got the points. Those who are ridiculing Nepalis of USA are Nepricans!! They are those who feel ashamed of being Nepalese.

I read in Sajha some time that there are some Nepalis who feel irritated if anybody asked them " Are you a Nepali"?.

But at the time when they need help, its usually the Nepali community he can go to.

Open up your eyes Nepricans!! If you can not live in Nepal, it doesn't mean that you can not live like a Nepali.

I have met many Nepalis who have admitted that they hate hanging out with other Nepalis. I'm not sure if they feel they are above the Nepali mentality or if they would be reduced down to the Nepali levels if they hang out with them. god knows what their problem is.

Ratobhaley i am not trying to generalize anything,I was just expressing the viewpoint of some nepalese who have sufferrd becuase of this behavioral pattern of some ignorant being.I totally disagree with what some of you said "All neaplese back bite" Well i don't.I guess i am civilized enough to figure out irrelevance of doing so. You wouldnt believe but i have come across neapli's who wouldn't give you a secoind look if your from Nepal....so just trying to show you the impact. Basically i think people whose brains are empty(ignorance) leads to backbitting.

I totally agree with u.I stayed in the bay area(california) for several months and i had the worst nightmare of my lifetime.These so called nepali social organizations frequently organized events just for their own personal benefits and to fill up their pockets.So,folks beware of these "dollar-thirsty" organizations.

Once in a while, we are not ashamed of being a nepali, we are ashamed of the typical nepali mentality. Most Khaires are very up front if they dont like you, they'll let you know then and there. On the contrary nepalese pretend being your well wisher at face value and the moment you turn your back will stab you without a second thought. They can make you life a living hell. There was a friend of mine who use to live with her relatives. They always seemed so nice until one day when she walked home from college and over heard them talking shit about her, complaining how they hated her. She was good for nothing...and a lot more personal stuff. She emotionally broke down. From that day on, she started hearing voices.Shw would imagine them making commnet s about her in the midddle of the night. I dont know may be a psychological thing but they led her to it. She was so depressed for she did not know what was her fault. Evertime she questioned herself," what did i do so bad to deserve this?" I felt so sorry for her. She said, she had thoughts of suicide but the love of her parents made her gave up. She could not possibly tell anyone abt this for nobody would whatsoever beleive her. i mean they pretended to be so nice on the outside. Now what do you say abt this hypocrisy???????????
