The king has proven it that he is the best politician that we have in the country. You may like it or you may hate it, but that is what I feel with the king's latest move. By re-instating the parliament, he has made a precedent. The precedent is that he can dissolve the parliament pretty much whenever he wants and he can reinstate it whenever he wants. This is a difficult time for him. He could have lost a lot more (including his throne). But he was able to cash this difficult situation by making a precedent. This definitely helps him buy some time (probably a year or two). In the meantime, he has secured his throne. People might think that he may be overthrown by constituent assembly. Please do not think so far so fast. First of all, there is no indication that it will happen. Second, he will have enough time to stop that from happening. Third, there is always Maoists. He can always stop "The Prime minister" from going to constituent assembly by using Maoists as a "tool". As much I dislike him, I think he is one of the best politicians Nepal ever has, who could not only shake the politics of the country, but could shake the picture of the entire region.

tara we cannot say a = b. so a = d. poliiticans are a BIG part of our problems, but there are other things too. who can we blame for our education? for passing only 30% of SLC students? for lack of proper infrastrucutre in schools? for poliitcal apathy? our economy, values, inefficiency, illietracy, corruption, lack of resources, are all in par with one another......corrupt leadres lai jhundyaudai ma, raja lai bahiskar gardai ma or parliament reinstate gardai ma, maoists lai dialogue ma bolaudai ma, we wnt' solve these problems all togheter ni hiana..it wil ltake a good half a century or may be more for us to really begin seeing signs of development, that too if and only if, current political crisis is somehow settled/.

Balla LFC nani ko ankha khulecha..... i agree. I need more educated politicians who are devoted towards developing the country rather than filling their own pockets.

Ifc, I agree with your point, although I don't think that it will take half a century. I think we can achieve a lot in 10 year time period, given politicians are working for the cournty and not for themselves and India only.

Bornfree I agree with the sentiment that both the corrupt SPA and the King now have somewhat of check and balance. SPA will constantly be worrying if KING will take over if they do things to hurt Nepal and Nepali people, and at the same time KING will have to think twice or even 3, 4, 5,6, ... times before exercising any autocratic rules and such. Hystamine take some anti-hystamine and think positive ... Janta can now begin to teach themselves and if they can't maybe some of of your caliber can go back to Nepal and educate the "stupid" nepalis the reality of voting the right person in as their representatives... BUT THE BIG QUESTION NOW IS HOW WILL SPA RESPECT THEMSELVES IF THEY ENGAGE IN INTERCOURSE WITH THE MAOIST! They will burn... Burning Nepal will continue!! Jay Nepal

lfc, manche haru literally capable chaina, i agree .. but stupidity lies in the fact that they do not have common sense ... you get my pont? people do not have to be literate to make sound decisions and to see the long term future. the current activities show they want freedom. why didn't we thnk about it in the past? why didnt we care about it then, when all corruption occured? now tell me, are we really smart to protest against one thing now, and agian protest against another thing tomorrow? and by the way, i never claimed myself smart, and i haven't called my guruba stupid. i am just generalising the mentality of all hte nepalis, as a whole. it includes you, me, budhijiwi, netas, hard working people, corrupt people, everyone ...
