I think the constitution should be changed. king will be ceremonial monarchy. No ifs and buts.

Wondering who will be the PM??

And new contitution should have one article saying"Death if found misusing the public funds while in high govt post."

It's kinda a funny..... the demands of the 7 parties are:

1. Parliament Revival
2. Changes in Constitution.
3. Ceromonial Monarchy
4. King not to be Head of Army

Why teh hell these Parties form the govt., then revive the parliament themselves - no need to ask Gyane anymore, Gyane will not say NO to parliament anymore, otherwise he knows people could come on the streets.

Then once the parliament is revived, demand 2, 3 and 4 will be discussed and approved by the revived Parliament...

Why on earth these foolish party leaders are demanding both parliament revival and constitution changes at the same time?

my dear nepalese ...do not worry we are the children of nepal and we all know what we can do ...have faith on ourselves and lets give big support to those great people who are fighting for freedom,fighting for the country and fighting for us......i think all credits go to them and I am pround that we have these brave people.....though I am far from the county my supports will be always with them......One day tyranny will be finished and the golden morning will knock our door........

Karmaranas points make some sense if the king fully co-operates.

But I don't think the king will be that co-operative. During Sher Bahadur's government, he gave the list from his pocket for the appointment of even secretaries, join-secretaries, president of election comission or Rastra Bank's governor etc.

You can compare him with the CEO of a company who interferes in the tasks of a branch supervisor.

He is an arrogant person and at the moment, his handing over of the power is just an attempt to diffuse the situation.

Revival of parliament through supreme court can make sense but under this constitution, there is no gate to go to constitution assembly. Even 2/3rd majority of the parliament can not alter the main theories of the constitution " Constitutional Monarchy and multipary democracy, if you are to stick with this constitution.

The present constitution has been several times raped and assaulted by this king. Army is still with him as defeated pack of wolves.

So, the only way is to begin from the trail head for the rest of the journey.

1. King announces that people are the source of the nation.And the sovereignity of the country rests in the people. (He has already said this).
2. Same announcement must ask all parties, civic society, maoists, professionals etc to come together for interaction.
3. Formation of an Interim government with a goal project of the election of constituent assembly.
4. Nepali army and the maoist army should be under UN supervision.
5. Promulgate a new constitution by the elected constituent assembly.
6. Formation of the government as directed by the new constituion.

I thnik the King still has that trump card... asking the coalition government to work on a new Constitution....

King already displayed his foolishness by beoming Prime Ministers.

And it appears now SPA Leaders are trying to become King....
