Hey why u wanna delay one week when u can do it rite now... It will make just liitle more complicated.. But should be fine if u got a convincing reason... & I hope u got ur attorney ready in case u got letter of denial... U will just get 15 days to respond to it... Which city u from?

 Guys, I have been in the US for about 4 years. Can i go to mexico or canada, come back and file for asylum. Or, I have to go back to nepal?

@lastkisss,  don't  go to other countries it will make it  even more complicated... it will raise questions why u didn't claim refugee in other countries...according to new law, as long as u have valid student status u can file for asylum till the end of 1st yr of entry..

hahaha timi haru sabai ko case fail huncha and they will regret later when u file for green card from other means coz aile pass hune chance bahut kaam cha keta  ho..

 I simply don't understand on what grounds would they be allowed asylum.  It's not that Nepal is Burma or North Korea.

 nina if you don't know there are still people getting killed , robbed , murdered for their political, relegious , social or race related affiiations in Nepal. there are many people in America who if ever go to Nepal will be persecuted  by such thugs or by the govt run by such thugs. it's no joke that maoists once declared atankabadis and still lebelled as atakanbadis and who killed thousands of people are running the govt and living like yesterday kings and their surroundings.  for someone who has stood against them it is even more riskier to go back now. let's not forget about some real ones just because u have seen some fake ones.

ok here is answer for you, tapai ko kagaj haru ramro banaunu bhayeko cha bhane samaya le farak pardaina. tara kagaj ali tagada huna paryo.

Here's ur answer-its doen't matter when and from where u file an asylum . Its not important  to file within a year. The main concerned is the documents that u provide as proof  of being unable to return to ur homecountry. make the story strong so that u would be able to convience to the immigration officer. collect new ideas and prepare urself.  Don't let urself down when other say that ur asylum will be denied.They r not immigration officer to judge u. but take a time to study the story, collect proof-  don't do in hurry......its a one time chance ..... .thts all u need.

Well ive heard some uni/colls gice u instate fee if u r asylee or rafugee ...... If even they decline can i move my case tO court n stay in asylee status so i can go to good school for cheap fee but as soon as i go to court im gonna lose the f1 ..........sugggation please
