 Prabal Gurung, period.

And please remember, Prabal is very proud of being a Nepali, he insist on saying "from Nepal" at every opportunity he can. Watch his interviews if you don't believe it. That sets him apart from the rest of these half Nepali or "not so sure" Nepali.

Has to be Prabal Gurung.

Who's Daya Vaidya? Vaidya is a pretty common last name in India.

Just looked her up. Her Wikipedia says she was born in Kathmandu but she looks black. Apparently, she's married to a Black guy. https://twitter.com/Daya10

I would say Prabal gurung on top of the list. I would add Varsha Thapa on  the list.

Compare the degree of success for all these people, i don't think DarshaN Rauniyar fits in that category.

Kiran - never read or heard anything from her that says she is Nepali.

Samrat - He was somewhat famous at one time for his literary accomplishments.

Darshan - He had one chance to shine and paved a way for future Nepali to embark on political path but he had one chance to shine and he is done!

Daya and Sweta - never heard of em before!

Prabal - Definitely the winner!

Darshan Rauniyar is a very successful man, I would say. He is a self made millionaire from the business that he started from the ground up. He was a pretty successful As a local politican too up until his fight for a congress.

As far as the term "successful" is concerned, every nepali (or other nationalities) is successful in his/her own way if s/he is able to achieve his/her dreams on their own. But yeah, you can say FAMOUS. And there is no doubt that the most famous from your given list is PRABAL GURUNG.

I know many of you would disagree but i would like to think of myself as a most successful Nepalese in the US.

What a waste of time...

champak123: I am not big fan of Darshan Rauniyar but we have to accept the fact that he is the first Nepalese  to announce the candidacy for  US Congress.

Laure bro: What does Bindu Pariyar do ? How is she successful ? I have never heard about her. Can you explain plz ?

Still_Snake: I don’t think Varsha Thapa has reached to the height comparable to Prabal Gurung. What do you think?

How do you define success? I am not sure if the person comes in the media so often, then that would be a successful person. I know Prabal was not born in Nepal and that's his greatness that he still like to be called a Nepalese. I definitely second that he has done great job in his career. How about the other people who are doing great in the field like academia or industry but his/her name does come in the media. So I believe, success needs to be defined before to be found who is the most successful.....

Waste of time? Why write "waste of time" if you think it is a waste of your time.  Oxymorons.
