Who's your next president 2016?

pollcode.com free polls

We've known Hillary for long time, her charity works towards numerous other humanitarian issues etc.
1. She gave and delivered a kickass commencement speech at Wellesley College in 1969.
2. She was one of 27 women who graduated from Yale Law School in 1973, out of a class of 235.
3. She was the only woman on the Nixon impeachment investigation team.
4. She cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families advocacy group.
5. She broke the mold for first ladies with her speech at the 1995 United Nations Women's Conference in China.
6. She won a Grammy for the audio edition of her book, It Takes a Village.
7. She worked with Ted Kennedy to expand the Children's Health Insurance Program.
8. She won the most votes of any female presidential candidate in history.
9. She set the stage for Obamacare by pushing health care reform in the '90s and during the 2008 campaign.
10. She became the most-traveled U.S. secretary of state ever.
11. She set into motion the first American talks with Iran since the 1979 revolution.

Now who is Bernie Sanders, I don't know, I really don't know and to me he popped up suddenly out of nowhere. If you are partaking in a match, there has to be someone to compete with. I believe any contenders to Hillary are just those out there just for the sake of it(match aka debate). And for someone like me when I saw him suddenly on TV saying that he's getting donation for his campaign not from billionaires but public. People paid standing ovation with round of applause, so? so what's the point? Does that make him saint? But to lot of people that made sense and now he's everyone's' talk of the night. Yes, there are things that make lot of sense to people. The same people who would believe they're getting free Ipad on some fake facebook page of real publication, the same people who follow Trump the maniac, the same fans who would like/share tweets of their drughigh fav singer who claims earth is flat, the same people who resend/retext/reshare religious messages out of fear(do this or curse would happen type), the same people who argues Ron Paul's gold theory must come back in action, the same people who believe and sell all their belongings in the name of judgment day only to turn into homeless next day, seriously I sometimes think how gullible we are to think whatever we hear and see are the truths. Bernie Sanders is another hype to me. Few videos on youtube found me the guy was a big time critique of democratic party itself, and didn't spare Obama policy from criticizing. I am afraid of sweet talkers and often time they're the back stabbers.

In all honesty, I really can't trust this Bernie dude and it seems like how honestly he's saying his things, Hillary is the way to go. Campaigns can't be run without money, however way you get it, you need money. He'll be in billionaire's pocket too if he's to get presidency. Those who think he's not going to be, are just type of people I mentioned in a paragraph above this.

If you are OBAMA supporters, VOTE for Hillary, if you are not VOTE for bernie.

Good Luck.

I'm seeing Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States of America.

F#ck you for supporting a corrupt politicians who takes millions of $$ as speaking fee. Why would Hillary charge $600,000 for a 45 min speech?
You really think Hillary can bring change? Don't you think we need a better healthcare system?
Hillary will be in jail pretty soon for using private email for communicating classified information. The state department needs 1 extra month to release the emails blaming the epic snow. They are trying to cover up.
Bernie is the right man. It's Bernie or Bust. Lots of young voters and independents will not come out and vote for a corporate wh#re if Bernie does not get the nomination.

What I like about Hillary is she will continue Obama's legacy. Also, she has proven that she can stand strong against the republicans (remember that she came off with flying colors after a day-long GOP grilling on Benghazi ) . But for some reason I don't find her very appealing.

Bernie, the grumpy old man, has his heart in the right place. He has a noble vision. He appeals to the frustrated middle and lower classes. But let's get real. The congress has been impeding any legislative process that Obama tries to put forth. Will the same obstructive congress sit back and watch Bernie overhaul the system? I doubt it.

Bernie Sanders is making critiques of Democratic Party on a range of issues from the progressive-wing of the political spectrum and rightfully so. He is dead right (I believe) on issues surrounding income inequality and ever shrinking middle-class in America which used to be a huge driving force behind America's economic prosperity.

"Over the past four decades, the American middle class has been shrinking relative to upper- and lower-income groups, both of which represent bigger shares of the population than at any time since at least 1971...", writes Pew Research Center.

As far as Clinton is concerned, no doubt, she is damn brilliant on public policy matters, however, she unfortunately somehow always seems to get overshadowed by her own sideshows like Bill or by her own statements like, "Being broke..." and so forth.

On the bright note, of all 2016 candidates for the White House from either party, Clinton is the only one who actually has traveled to Nepal.

Most of the problems that US is facing currently is due to lack of $$$ in the middle and lower class, the money has been trickling up to the top 1% for at least over few decades because most presidents and politicians have overtly or covertly supported in making the rich richer because they have personally benefitted from them. It's unlikely that Bernie will be able to change all the wrongs but someone taking a stance against corporate hegemony which encourages profits at any cost, without any concern for the lives of people or the life of planet earth - is a welcome change from the hopelessness of corporate greed that has infested the politics and adversely affected the living standard of the common man, woman and child.

Citizens have had no alternatives but to accept the appointment of people with high conflict of interest in public offices. Corporations are selling food that is harmful for consumption because the politicians are looking after their interests. Pharmaceutical, medical and insurance industries are squeezing the money out of general public because politicians are making decisions which are favorable to the industry instead of the general public. This has set a very dangerous precedence as inhumane policies are made that are not only harmful to people but to the world itself that we live in.

It's high time someone starts to address such stark irregularities in the system. Instead of beating around the bush with other candidates who show hope of more lollypops than last year while being in bed with the big industries, we need to get to the root of the problem!

Clearly other candidates' goal is to win an election while Bernie Sander's goal is to save Democracy.

The other candidates - as soon as they win, they have to make sure they please the big corporations and billionaires who supported their campaigns by making policies that favor them. But not Bernie. Bernie is the only person who does not have to answer to the big corporations, who can focus on restoring the meaning of a democratic government which is answerable to the people and not the billionaires as is the case right now.

Bernie is a self declared socialist. He or any other socialist will never win the general election. I am assuming most of Nepalese are naturalized US Citizens, so you guys have an option, just immigrate once again out of US to one of many socialist countries in Europe.....and see how do you like them apple for yourself!

It doesn't matter if bernie is a socialist. It's high time people understand that socialism isnt the devils calling. There are certain rules and regulations in socialist manifesto that organically puts checks and balances on the system, the economy and democracy. Bernie just wants to implement those systems so the government works for the mass instead of a rich few that happens with an ever progressing technological world and an unchecked capitalism.
Also Hillary can eat a dick. Just another corrupt politician

Bitte,
Hillary made 5 million giving speeches to financial companies last yr. Her husband's financial deregulation of Glass-Steagall Act led to the last financial disaster(from which we are just recovring after 10yrs). To think the she will help the depleting middle class ? Keep on dreaming...

one of the reason I like my nepalese fellows is that I think despite of all economic, social and political injustice that has been going in our country for years, I consider ourself very open minded in terms of ignorance and right wing religious conservatism in the world's spectrum. in contrary to his name as Bittertruth suggests, I found his ignorance quite fascinating.

In the case of Bernie Sanders, it is not about he came out of nowhere. Even though he has been very consistence on what he thinks is right for people and how our government should be involved in social economic equalities for all of its people. for example, citizen united decision has taken government out of general people and hand it over to corporations and he has been quite vocal about this including climate change and living wages for all working class.

the most important issue with Bernie Sanders is not about if you agree with his policy proposal or not, but we will not find any other honest, authentic, and people's leader as him in foreseeable future not only in US but in this world stage.

lopchan, I still remember you thanking me on my another thread for some links I posted.
I really don't know why you had to resort to using foul language. If that's your way of defending or proving your point, well then it's belittling and I couldn't care less. I was already mentioning the type of people who easily believe what they see and hear. Do you know who that 'TYT' anchor who runs internet news room? Did you go by each and every words that he said in above video you posted? He's a sensationalist and absolute moron who criticized Obama from day 1. I mean what can I say of a guy who doesn't even know the jack what GIF is but says that shortclip as GIF and recklessly slanders everyone. If you are a technorant, GIF is only about static images in animated sequence, it never contains audio bits. This TYT anchor also shows up in some techshow program and if you see him yapping there, you'll know that he's a nothing but chatterbox. If you are coming up to me to prove your point by showing me that video of this douche, you failed epically brother.
If you've been a democrat, watch the video below else ignore. Here this same douche slanders Obama, sounded that we're doomed under OBAMA and look at his confidence when he says that. Yep, some of us gullible buy into that confidence shit, lies spoken with confidence become truth, not for me.

It's amazing to learn that people are so quick at judging others. It's even amazing that they're quick at labeling someone they don't know 'ignorant'. And, it's further amazing they take great pride of being smartass saying names. lol

We all know how sweet of a talk they talk to win campaign, majority of the promises they make don't come to fruition. It's hilarious to read comments as 'Hillary is a politician, Bernie sanders is a real human.' And it's even funnier to see the video up there about 'bernie skeptics'. It's just part of campaign, endorsement and expenses. That's all it is. Am not buying into things bernie teams are promoting.

I seriously wrote up above in one of my posts that I seriously didn't know who the heck is bernie. And after lot of buzzword, I searched and saw few old videos of how good of a critique he was of his own party members.

He blamed Obama for continuing “the Bush trade policies,” saying, “Free trade has been an unmitigated disaster for American workers.” He noted that 50,000 factories have closed down here in the last decade.

Now think...

And yes, politicians do take speech fees. There are hateful rumors that taking fee itself is such a lowly act of corruption. How much speech fees they've charged and all that — It's all on the news. I see no ill-intent here and really don't know why people are so mad at it. Every public figure does so. Why not clintons when majority of funds collected go to their 'Clinton Foundation' - a charity.

An excerpt from Clinton foundation webpage -
"Everywhere we go, we're trying to work ourselves out of a job. Whether it's improving global health, increasing opportunity for girls and women, reducing childhood obesity and preventable diseases, creating economic opportunity and growth, or helping communities address the effects of climate change, we keep score by the lives that are saved or improved."

If you really want to know where their charity funds go to, give yourself some free time and look it up, it's real, it's fact and it's news. One independent philanthropy watchdog did an analysis of Clinton Foundation funding and concluded that about 89 percent of its funding went to charity.

I still seriously don't know who Bernie is, besides he's keeping people spellbound with his sweet talks.

Not being sexist, but let this woman win the Presidency.
Adios

Bittu

Just like you are writing your opinions, the journalist young turk is expressing his opinions. Some of his opinions may not be right. You dont' have to necessarily agree with each and every one of this opinions. But his opinion in the video I posted above seems pretty accurate.

Clearly the person running the debate seems to be biased towards Clinton.

So you cannot undermine everything the young turk guy says just because you don't agree with some of the things he has said in the past.

If you have any points to refute what he has said in the video i posted above, then we can have a more contextual discussion.

As far as Clintons and their charities, I don't think anyone is questioning that.

The crux of the matter is not what you do with your money but how you earn it. When you choose to earn your money from the Banks then essentially you owe them something. It's like they are your customers, and you don't generally try to screw your own customers because you want them to keep coming back to you.

Hillary has not made any statements that she will be fighting against the corporate dominance in politics which continues to result in policies that are not for the people but for the billionaires. She seems to be okay with the status quo as far as the income disparity and the taxes favoring the rich and all other loopholes in place to protect the rich.

As I mentioned above this is the most important thing that needs to be tackled today to ensure than US has a democratic government that is for the people. Bernie is the only hope because he has not been tarnished by such tight partnerships with the corporations as Hillary and others have been.

Look bittertruth, I don't know where your get your news from, but you don't seem to understand American politics. Have your ever thought why the approval rate of congress is so less (less than 20%) in US? Why young Americans are not excited to vote in the elections? Did you see how young voters flocked to vote for Obama when he promised real change? Was the change even real? What do you think about more than $1 billion Obama raised in 2012 to save his presidency? Don't you see the campaign finance is rigged? When billions of dollars of amount is spent on congressional and presidential candidates, do you expect those people to work for average american?
Bernie, on the other hand has been fighting for middle class. Looks like you need to know more about Bernie Sanders. I will be posting some videos to educate you about him.

I accept that I judge you. Is not that what is politics about?. Don't be so naive you come here and tried to explain why you don't know about Bernie so Hillary is the best choice because you know her. Is not that ignorance and you are ignorant. I support Bernie not because I know a little about him but because I know very much about Hillary.

I am not in a group of liberal who say no one should offend anyone. Yes there are people who are offended by everything but shouldn't you say things that are right no matter who are offended by that.

Even if I follow your pessimistic logic and says all politicians are same. That is absurd. This kind of thinking will make this earth living hell. There are different people as much as there are different politician.
