what do you guys think? SPA recommending Baburam Bhattari as the next prime minister. I guess that would be the right answer to the King's proclamation.

The tragedy is that, no matter how loudly the people and the SPA netaas shout for democracy or republic state they will have little control over the Maoists.

When Gyne and his military could not do much about the Maos do you feel these netaas will be able to do anything about the Maos ?

Dont these Maoists need public support as well? King G had mightier military force than these Maoists, and he still had to bow to people's protests.

Be cool, MB too will bow to popular voice of people.

Unfotunately, the vast majority of the Maoist recruits do not come from major urban centers of Nepal so the Maoists will always see as "us versus them".

Probably the Maoists would have to deal with the same sort of strategic dilemma if majority of their recruits had come from the major urban centers of Nepal.

No way Khaobadi Bro,

Without King there will be no Maoists, ask any maoist who has been carrying gun. He/she want to lay down the gun as soon as possible. They are having a hard time as well. What will happen is that we will have more battallion added to (R)NA as to make way for Maoists army. They will be in different battallion.

Once that is done, there will no more Moaists carrying guns in the hills. Things will change

Maoists army and Royal Army both will be under UN supervision. Khaobadi, your tension should be over now.

Do you remember that during the last peace talks between the Maos and the govt, the Maos wanted to make a united armed forces made up Nepal army and the battalions of Maoist forces.

Dont you think their ambition is not just for GANATANTRA but for somehow complete control of all armed forces of Nepal so that the power would be secured for the Maoists and no one else.

They will have to win ballot before they can control absolute power over bullet. FYI, about a year ago, MB had a sample elections in Rolpa in 4 VDCs . That was in their stronghold.

They did it because some of their politburo members feared that they have lost popularity among public. So their politburo meeting came up with idea of conducting a sample election.

And the result was that that all their officials candidates lost and the independent candidates won the sample election.

Then they realized they had no support even in their capital, Rolpa, since then the first priority of MB is to get back the popular support because they know once the war is over, its the popularity and votes that count the most

Totally agree with Khaobadi......

No way in hell, Baburam should be the next PM....Maoists are fighting a losing war......how long can they succeed with the war of fear......They monopologize people for their ill-fated fortune.....where are they now?? Oh, in India.......yeah right....they are fighting People's war from India......The bottom line is, Maoists will succeed as long as they kill innocent people, loot people, and forcibly kidnap teenagers from remote villages and make them fight for them with fake hope of a better tomorrow.......If they have any guts...they should come out from their holes, and take part in active democracy, take part in the election......and see how many people really want them......Maoists choose their victims with time...When Congress was in the govt...they killed tons of Congressi people....same with UML....and they act like all they want right now is throw out the king.....Open up ur eyes guys......Maoists are fooling you.........they have no agenda, no goal.....

How could anyone convince people who do not believe in ballot in the first place ?
That is the reason why they choose to participate in only one election and the election became useless for them. They choose guns and they really felt they could in fact control something.

Maoists do not believe in ballot but they believe in guns, there is no point telling them that they should come to ballot. This leaves it point less to tell them that they will not will win if they ever participate in election.

NO TO MAOISTS, NO TO COMMUNISTS AND NO TO SOCIALISTS. They will take power and form one party government like what North Korea has now. Do you see the difference between North Korea and South Korea? South Korea is one of the most developed countries in Asia whie in North Korea people are starving.
Did you see in your past about west Germany and East Germanay. I have visited both East and West Germany, Akas patal ko farak thiyo at that time(1990).
