Rodiohead, after reading your second comment I somehow agree with you. Social changes should always be focused to uplift the society with cultural and moral values, discipline, better social structures and social practices, and ideological system of values. Social institution, social relations, community idols, and so-called public figures including actors should always be more serious on how they are going to affect our society with their deeds. I would not condone what Namrata Shrestha did as if she was a part of western society where people have forgotten/misinterpreted the moral values, cultural upbringing, interpersonal reverence and societal norms.

Importantly, we also should not forget that we are in 21st century, we should not stone people in an attempt to pulverize our society with their so-called "social change". We simply can extirpate these inflictions by disarming their charm in our society.

Its  a big deal, didn't she know her play was being video-tapped. Would you feel comfortable with that if you put yourself in her place? How come it is just the fault of the guy ? She should have been more responsible in this case.

I agree with Radiohead. Sex is a private matter, but there is a limit on how much you can expose. In any case, society does have moral values for some reasons, and one violates those values on his own peril.

I was glad Kantipur TV dropped her. I am surprised this new thingy is making her ambassador,but they must be doing it on their own peril. Despite her past, rightnow the only thing Namrata stands for is abandoned sexual urge. That's not the message you want to give to growing kids. They need to learn about restraint and discipline.

Except for the fact that there are serious moral issues with the fact the DJ is married with children, I do not see any other issue with this video. By this statement, I do not mean to be crowning Ms. Shrestha "Nepali role model of the year" title by any measure. Always remember, in a free society, you are "allowed" (borrowing your word here) to anything within the law and without invading anyone's else's rights. you can definitely stand firm on your ground!  no one will touch you or bother your standing unless you are not bothering anyone. you should never talk about what your parents do in their bedroom, you little freak, thats something totally not allowed to talk in public. I remember, some of my friends used to ask some kids about their parents' movement and noise at bedtime during our school days.  That kid used to tell us everything whatever happened last night right next to him. We used to have fun listening to those kids' story. she has intentionally video taped it, meaning she had no worry at all of any kind of  consequences.

Those people who support Namrata here are one of them so called westernized peoples , living together without marriage in same bed room and changing gf and bf in 3-3 months!! for them our nepalese society is backward and negative thinking society. They will compare their themself with other western people but they forget they are from country where still there is 18 hours of loadsheding daily. when we compare nepal in development, GDP , human development ranks we compare with third world african countries and in term of Gay marriage , sex scandles and other unnecessary things they will say in america there is like this !!!!! But I disagree with you on this post.

We are humans, we do mistakes in our life (knowingly or unknowingly), does that mean we have face its consequences for a whole life.  The best thing we can do from our mistake is "LEARN FROM IT and NEVER REPEAT IT AGAIN".

I agree she didn't did the proper thing, but why she has to face its consequences for all of her life.  We are simply behind her as she is a celebrity and specially she is a woman. Why we never outcast PRAKASH OJHA, who had a sex with 3 minors.  SAPTAHIK, weekly magzine from Kantipur publication has a column for him "TALU MA AALU" We did not cry FOUL when he had less sentences and again back to MUSIC INDUSTRY.

We simply neglect the cabin restaurant in surrounding area of +2 colleges. We preach our children not to smoke and drink but we never hesitate to sell cigarettes and alcohol to same age group from our shops. We cry for social and moral values, but we simply overlook it when we have to follow

Who are the main customers for CABIN RESTURANT AND MASSAGE CENTER AND TOPLESS BAR AT THAMEL AND OLD BANESHWOR AREA.
