A true and bold statement to pull out.
And this might be one of the most mysterious circumstance to deal with.

I can't say much but want to tell you to look at yourself. Don't send money (if you have paid your debt) unless its absolutely necessary, i mean don't send money to buy land or build house or purchase something.

Yaa tyo ta sahi ho...if they are not happy if you are goin to Nepal then they dont love you as a son....You should immediately stop sending them if they dont need it desperately.....just stop sending them for a while and see how they behave with you...if they ask you is anything wrong or that type of question then it might be different case ...but if they ask you the question like why you are not sending the money, send fast....then never ever send the money.....and do only as much as you can and also enjoy your youth..because it will never come back....money is not everything in life....life ta aaja cha bholi chaina...so think abt it and make a good decision so that you wont regret later....
Chill!!!!

you need to talk to your parents about it and how to resolve the issue or cost cutting on their expenses.

communication is the key here.

you've been in the states for 5 years and it's natural for typical parents to expect financial support from you. are you a student or are you just working? have you been home since you came here? do you communicate enough with your parents? do they know what job you do, how you work, how your living conditions, etc are? as others have pointed out, i feel like it's a communication problem, not merely financial. talk to them and explain everything. they are your parents and they'll have to understand.
i talk to my parents, they know what i do, how i live, how much i earn and all that stuff and they never ever ask for a penny. all they say is spend for your needs, save whatever is left and spend that for ticket to home as often as possible.
talk to them, that's the best solution.

I am  exactly on the same boat brother...its been almost 10 years for me out of the country working like a dog here and sacrificing everything I wanted to do but the other side does not stop expecting money from me...I have started to think exactly the same way as you do...Have built them a house, financed my sister's wedding and what not...

My dad does not do anything in Nepal and expect money from me to sustain...he is not even that old, I would have understood if he is...don't take it the wrong way, I love my family, but I just don't think I can do it any more...after all, I also have a life...I want to help them but just don't want to be the bread owner in the family while everyone else is doing nothing but just enjoying the momney I sent...

                           To whom it may concern:

Everytime I come up in sajha... it feels like home as if I'm around my families & frens. In fact, a strange but sweet feelings that remind me of not being far away from home but just next Chowk in our Bhaiaya ko Pasal  ..smoking fog & drinkin' tea and mingling with my buds... So many of times, weird people put weird threads in here that just sucks but I still resist myself ...& the same thing happened now..but not this time ....

To the creator of this thread & his supporters... ..  You are a curse to your family..you do not care about your family okay...but we love our families...this is a public ground and if you can not talk any good about your family do not spit out your venom in here... I [Disallowed String for - bad word]ing hate somebody insult their or our parents...

Bottom line: Ya sickfack... its not u freakface, ur wife & she's furnishing your sh*t head with all the hate and aggression against your family... wake up or STFU***
Sorry for uncle & auntie though............

25 years huh? I guess you are old enough to figure out what is right and what is wrong. Be a man and take care of your situation yourself.
Money issue? lol

Which wicked parents would demand money from children?  As a son, you have a moral obligation to support them but they need to understand your situation as well.

The recent trend in Nepal is that the parents also show off to their neighbors.  For instance, if a neighbor's son steals everyday and sends 100K a year, you family starts expecting the same from you.  That's why I always say, stop stealing.  When you graduate and get out of school, most likely you won't get to earn 100K even after 10 years of experience if you are from dimploma mill school.  Nepal ma dekhaune baani le nai dubayo..

@just can't get enough: First of all, this thing is really critical issue and glad that you poured it down here instead of keeping within yourself.

Let me tell ya sth.

First thing, you need to do is look at your parent's financial situation. Can they sustain their life themselves? Can they afford to live the basic life? If yes, then you need to tell them that you have your priorities as well so you can't send lot of money but only few money may be $100 or $200 which you spend on beers which becomes a lot to your parents. Spending $100 or $200 will not also damage your plan to have fun while being young

If not, then you should be ashamed of yourself. If they are not financially sound, then think how they raised you in that poor condition and made you literate person so that you can gain higher education and come to the U.S.A. If it wasn't your mum that had you while having pain for 9 months, you won't be talking sh%t like this. Had not your parents taken you to boarding school instead of government school, you won't be able to communicate so properly and talk like this. If you are lucky, you might be a DV winner and working in gas stations. So please stop this non-sense and think about what they did for you instead of what you are doing for them. You are complaining about 5 years, they raised you for 20 years.

Also,  Last but not least, you will know how much responsibilty you have when you become a Father.

Peace
Sirus_Me
