I agree with SAP dude, it is disturbing but not surprising. Doing these things in group and recording the acts to bring to public is quite...... 'ke bhanne ' i dont have words. Again, i am not saying these kids are doing good things, but these kinds of activities were there even 25 years back as SAP dude says. It is true that the magnitude of such activities have increased in recent years probably because of western cultural effect and peer pressure.  I have seen/heard many such incidents while in hostel in kathmandu around ~25 years back. Even in villages, there used to be boys' 'gaff' how they made it with their classmates after SLC exams etc. There even used to be narratives by senior dais (boys in 9/10 class) ~ 25 years back of the incidents with girls who went  to participate in 'birendra shield' along with them. I believe that used be with girls whose Dad or Brother would not accompany them to the game venue. Again, i am not saying this would happen to all the girls whose gurdains would not accompany them nor i am generalizing. Just saying, how forward were girls/boys even in villages in those times. I was not sure, if i should have brought up this issue here, as these are something people do not like to talk as those events are not considered moral.

The "Kissing Contest" was anything but disturbing.

In a sex starved nation like ours,PDA can create huge controversy as in this case.Shooting/releasing and peer pressure of this whole episode is wrong, but the act of the couples involved is OK.Hormones kick the hardest in this age,you get a hard on for the stupidest reason.Just because you didn't get the chance does not mean it is WRONG.Sour grapes?Effing moral police..

Dharke .....Identity?WFT dude.

That last video is nothing but girls having fun amongst themselves.  I am sure when we were in high school, all of us talked s#it.  I know, at one time, I used to swear like a sailor, even in public, until some sense knocked into my head.  As long as no one is hurt.  Of course, they should have better sense than filming themselves, but when you are young with hormones raging, lapse of judgement is not unheard of.

That first video was indeed quite surprising.  Moral values are something instilled in kids by their parents, teachers but more so by the society.  When our Nepali society of adults is so corrupt and shameful, these kind of behaviours do crop up among kids.

It feels like Nepal has double standards when it comes to sex. I am sure that those same cops raiding the guest house or that reporter harping about it(both of whom are sex starved for sure), would not think twice about getting sexual favors from one of those girls in their custody or I am sure they would not turn down the offer saying that it was immoral or illegal if they were invited by one of those girls. It's a different thing that the kids had their thing videotaped and did not think twice before tossing it in the internet.

It sucks that there is a not a lot of place for people to do private business, esp in cities in Nepal. Isnt that what you get when you throttle the freedom too much, a bunch of rebels, curious to do the things that are so forbidden.

here I agree with SAP DUDE,
this is definitely disturbing, but not surprising.
Disturbing because it's not socially acceptable behavior and they looked like underage probably 16-17. Morever, it looked like group sex activity or some sort of western orgy, who knows if they had sex after that. Probably they had. The only blunder they made is that they post it on social medias and that indirectly could entice other group of young people to involve into similar activities. It should be legally punishable and if underage they need serious counseling to stop any such conduct.

Not surprising because,<ahem> it's been happening,

Looks like ppl take only what they want to take and start to discuss, instead of relating it to contemporary issues, social norms and future. We live in society and our acts get reaction from our society. My acts will generate reaction from my society your action will generate reaction from your society unless we do it privately.

In my posting I have said that

---Except for illegal activities, whatever activities pleases them they are free to do. It does not bother me.
---Looks like they are happily performing the act. It is their business.

These two lines should have been enough about my personal feeling towards such activities

BUT I do post a lot about politics/social norms/economy etc about Nepal. Because even after so many years abroad I am still a Nepali citizen use Nepali passport to travel. It is not because I cannot get citizenship of other country but because of my choice. I do not know what will be situation in future.

So, if something happened in Nepal, I relate it to prespective of Nepali society. Its stage of development, economic as well as social and political. Nepali society analyse with the.

I live in a society where coffee shop sell not coffee but pot. Where red light area is in the middle of downtown and 500 meters away from the parliament. Two kilometres far from the Royal palace. Also, the red light area is separated from residential area by only by a narrow road.
when ya gotta go.....

Open place to urinate near my place, this type of toilet is aceptable to the society

I still remember my first visit to a high profile sauna; I thought I accidently entered into ladies sauna. Later realised that 25% of sauna is mixed sauna where men and women enjoy sauna naked and nobody cares. (Off course it was very difficult for me to control)
But can I comment based on where I live? Or is it ok for me to lecture Nepali society saying you know society should be like this ? Or should I put my comment based on thinking/attitude of average people in Nepal.
It is very easy for me to say blah blah because even if I am a Nepali citizen I am living in a different type of society.

What I posted above was sort analysis of  their behaviour based on thinking of average Nepali society which I try to understand by talking with my relatives back in Nepal, by watching Nepali TV (Rarely) listening to Nepali fm and talking with Nepali friends and my visit of Nepal

Nepali society is full of double standard. Let us start with politicians they say one thing do other things

Society is actively engaged in sexual activities but outside, its thoughts are different regarding those activities. In Society those things are not acceptable as normal .

For us Nepali, even in sites like sajha to remain anonymous one nick name is not enough, we need different nick names to post different things. This is Bitter truth, we are like that. We want to hide in our own thoughts.

Nepali youths have moved forward. Their parents want identity which was created hundreds of years back.

My objection to above video is only privacy of the people involved, were those people aware that once someone takes video in absence of proper law/understanding it can be made open to the public and very defaming.

How society reacted to Namrata Shrestha and that Lama women (sorry I forgot the name). I am sure those who were crying loud had extra marital affair sex or pre, marital sex etc.

Remember what happened to that KC gal, who committed suicide lately?

When I was teen ager some Nepali actress committed suicide because her naked photo was published in “Jana Astha” News paper.

Nepali society anonymously does everything behind the curtain but outside it has a different face.

So as a responsible citizen I have two option 1) lecture the society by saying so and so or 2) analyse it and express opinion based on it.

It is easy to lecture I think, but I decided not to do so. I choose second option. I related the activities of those youths and related it with demand of the some quarter of political leader.

Now for those staying in US and saying those activities is not that unusual. I would like to ask few questions. I know you guys can answer whatever you want but please be honest, that is all I want.

1. If you are a unmarried man, will you marry one of those gals in video?  When it is your time to get married you need “asal kt” or even you will try to find  “Kumari Kt”  hey tyo kt ko ta testo video nikle ko thyo, beijjat hunchha yaar testo kt sanga bya garda.

But you will marry a gal who might have been involved in activities worse than that but you are unaware of it.

Just by publishing that video in you tube their status in society changes like that. And once their status changes in society, your openness  won’t work

2. If you are a unmarried gal, will you marry a guy who is in that video? Same is true you gal will say "oh, tyo keta ko ta testo video you tube ma ako thyo , testo keta sanga ko bya garcha."

And don’t tell me I am making up situation, these things has happened in  our society examples are, Namrta Shrestha, Lama actress and that KC gal who committed suicide .

Because  Prem  Ojha published a Video of that gal, she was devastated and finally committed suicide. Where as we all know in our Nepali society there are gals far worse than that and still happily married because their video is not out.

3. If you are a old guy and you have a son who want to marry one of those gal, what will be your reaction. Will you say son, great, if you like it, fine with me, marry her or try to convince your son not to marry her.

4. If you have a daughter who wants to marry the guy in video will you say, “Ok daughter, if you love him then marry him” or try to convince your daughter that may be it is not a good idea to marry him.

If that activity is ok, then it must be ok for you to involve in legal relationship with those type of ppl in your family. If you cannot do that then you are a hypocrite.

If you cannot do that then you are already making them sort of untouchable but come here in sajha and say yeah” that is nothing special”

For me, society must have a mechanism to make those kids aware of the fact that you guys are adult, within the legal framework you are allowed to do whatever you want to do BUT

“Be Aware THERE ARE MANY ACTIVITIES, ALTHOUGH LEGAL, THIS SOCIETY CAN NOT GRASP AND THAT MIGHT AFFECT YOUR FUTEUR.”

Once you convey this message to them, and if they continue to involve in those type activities, it is their problem not ours. If they are happy who are we to intervene?

Instead saying “yeah that is nothing unusual and later treating them differently is cheating them out of their future.

Regarding identity

Those video proves that present generations requirements are different, priorities are different. These youths are the future of the country. If Leaders are so much concerned about “pahichan/culture/language/religion” they better involve with their own kids and ask them to follow activities of their ancestors so that they wont have "kiss contest". And if ethnical leaders try to understand this video, they will not demand ethnical state. Because I bet their own kids give $hit about it

OTHERWISE what will happen...

During so called “Janayudhha”   many men /women were killed just because they were involved “immoral” sexual activities. After “janayudhha” what Prachands son did? Any Maobadi dare to kill him, can “Prachanda” give order to kill his own son, why this double standard.

Don’t bluff people.

Man this is getting longer and longer I better stop here.

Map showing red light area in the midle of residential area. Kids living near to redlight  grwow up noticing all the activities. In fact at about 200 meters from the red light area there is a public school too.
Will this be aceptable in US? I am sure not. whereas in this country no one cares.
Different society behave differently

 saathiharu..
I agreed, fuccha fucchi le galti garey... ..aba uniharuko galti lai badai chadai yesari sajha ma anekau tarka betarka deei, hit list ma rakhnu k so called literate and aware hami jasto budhijibi haruley garna uchit hunca hola ta?
well, it's not only their fault, the careless and irresponsible parents are the main culprit behind this stupidity and immature crime. Everyone should be aware to stop these things, however let's stop it here.
we all know we too had done a kind of stupidity back in school and college days.
well, i m not saying what those crap teenagers did is not a bad thing. they deserve to be slapped hardly. However, none of us have right to  criticized like this way.
Let's use a sense we have being literate, at least not like those, teenagers.

Sap dude: thank you for taking your time to pull the definition of disturbing for me, I feel truly enlightened. However, if you think I am surprised seeing teenagers kissing each other, pardon my language but  you sound tad stupid. Let me put forth my reasons why I am so shocked seeing these dumb unsocial teenagers and their manipulative friend in the video. I would not have been astounded  if it was just another teen making out video because I started pretty early too , my friends did it and if you are not as cocky as you sound, you prolly had some luck too. And everyone in our circle knew who were getting action from whom but never did they came to me holding a camera in one hand asking how long can I make out with my girlfriend in public. Never ever !! Now that attitude in this video is what's triggering this deep dismay. I hope you get it.

28,

I do not care if you are surprised or not. As a matter of fact i do not care if anyone is surprised or not. It was my opinion that i thought the video was disturbing but not surprising. You are just little weak at comphrehending my post. How are you going to get out of the community college with this kind of comprehension skill??

First you assumed that i had nothing against the video and flagged my post and now you are suggesting that we argue over whether or not i accused you of being surprised or not. I have not accused you of anything and don care about your opinion.

How are those ESL classes coming???

Goddamn,

It was not just the video camera that was not available back then. The media like You tube, facebook and sajha was not available back then either. Those things have been happening in Nepal since at least 25 years ago from what i know. The only difference now is that the affordable technology has made it possible to record it and the media like Sajha and Youtube have enabled it to publish them rapidly.

What is disturbing about the video is that the peer pressure can clearly be seen on some of those girls. First they are not comfortabe to be recorded or kissed in the camera but the Guys kind of forces it on them. The guy with the camera pressures and the "boyfriend" uses some force to get them invlove sexually. That is one disturbing point. The second one is, how old are those kids? Imagine of the kids are all underage and the one recording is an adult..then it could even translate to a pornographic video. Third, what about the consiquences....what are the parents going through right now.....and what are the future of these children in the video with their marriages and stuff???

With the digital world advancing at the speed of light, its time Nepal starts sex education in schools and educate kids on what is right and wrong.

SAP, you really need to be careful of how people may understand you.
They might get you otherwise, you did same several threads deep down there on one of my posts.
I didn't mind. I always carry this notion,'I am responsible for what I say, I am not responsible for what you understand'.
And I walk away. Karma returns, isn't it? I know it sucks when ppl attack you for not understanding what your point is.
I am not biased, we had little scuffle back there down those threads but here your point is valid and totally agreeable
to which I couldn't turn my back. Yes I support what you said, 'it's disturbing but not surprising.'
I'm not saying you to back off, you can carry on the show.

Bitter,

Take it easy man...there was no Karma and no one is bothering me. Its just a blog forum. Do not let this occupy your life. I come here to have fun and spare some time that i have excess of. I do not take Sajha posting personally. I am sure 28 is still young and has a lot to learn.

Karma did not come back and even if it does someday it won't suck or hurt me. It will be fun again.

Thanks for agreeing on my post. That was fun too.

sap dude, aint you फकिङ  special??

i just asked you a simple question and you had to act smart and now you are into belitteling me ! why??  You don't like me? That's great, because you're obviously a douche bag, and the opinions of douche bags mean nothing. I love it when losers like you don't like me. I like it even more when they express it. It makes me feel really good about my life when an insecure fat फक like yourself takes the time out to respond to my postings, because that just shows me the way your shitty little mind works, and insures me that you're always going to be what you are now... a failure. There's always gotta be people like you around, because they make people like me stand out :)

and yes, it will take me another year or two to get of this community college but hey,  i don't have to worry about living life like yours. it must be really hard being you!
and good luck on your H1, hope all that ass kissing (त्यो पनि धोतीको ) pays off !

28,

The way you fight back is very intriguing. First you create your own reality “you don’t like me” then you answer your own self-created question by “that’s fine, I don’t care” then go on and on about it.

I was thinking you were a little man but since you are so good at creating drama I have to assume that you are very good at letting the “little teenage girl” out of you online.  You must have lots of friends as girls as you do know how to fight like one.

I really do not care about liking or not liking you and nor have I posted something to that line.
