I don't care if I am nepali or not, in this day and age, we're world citizen , earth is our home and these boundaries sketched by selfish morons calling themselves leaders created the concept of nations and here we fools are killing each others in the name of that very notion. If there were lifes in all planets of our solar system, and if we were inter-planetary civilizations(as per physicist Michio kaku we are still type 0 Civilization, type I civilization would be inter-planetary), we wouldn't have second thought calling ourselves earthlings, not nepali, american, chinese or russian. Anyone get the picture here? You may not, I am just trying to think out of the box.
But just for the sake of getting by, I present myself with those identities. I feel like punching in the face of the people when they ask me what country am I from? With good stare down, my answer will always be 'earthling'. There is nothing to be proud of if Mr everest is in Nepal or not, if Buddha is born in Nepal or not, it's part of an earth and buddha was an enlightened human born as earthling. I sometimes hate to be the part of society as moronic as that.

By next century, 7.5 billion population of earth will die. I hope that next layer of civilization to walk on the earth would be very broadminded.

French kings were notorious for keeping their peasants poor by hefty taxes while living in one of the most lavish palaces in the world.French revolution was the bloodies of all revolutions and that changed the entire western civilization. France is dotted with many palaces and castles that are still well preserved. Why? Because it is their history. It is an integral part of their country. You've got to know where you come from to know where you are heading so that you don't end up going in circles and arrive at the same place where you started. Besides french generate tons of tourist revenues from their palaces.

People like Bairaghi and Bittertruth can say whatever they want, but it is clear that they have not read nepalese hsitory. Nepal as we know today was a work of few of Shah kings.

By the way, what should we do with Rana palaces? Since Ranas kept all nepalese in dark by forbidding education, should we not destroy all of their palaces?
What about Hindu temples? Hinduism is soaked with caste system and discrimination. Should we destroy all hindu temples?

@Bittertruth, how can you be worried about Nepal ceasing to exist in future when you have an extremely leftist attitude of destroying any historical landmark that symbolizes the unity and sovereignty of a nation? No clue on how things are done in Europe, but in North America regardless these historical sites are large or small, very old or more recent, most of them are preserved by partnerships between governments (local, state, provincial, federal etc) and private citizens/volunteers/non-govt. foundations.

These ladies are one of many examples of such partnerships.

He probably is not on his way to become a sadhu or santa but likely on his way to become a physics enthusiast. Physics is the most fundamental science of all sciences. Without physics there would be no chemistry, without chemistry there would be no biology and without biology there would be no people to ask these questions (and of course fight over it)

In human timescales it is very reasonable to say that I come from this country or that country or I belong to this race or that race however in vast timescales and vast distances these notions look amazingly absurd.
