Western Canada is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. And I am not exaggerating. I heard people who vacation in Vancouver come back, pack up and move to Vancouver.

Dunno about Eastern Canada. I heard Halifax is also quite pretty.

But Toronto, Montreal area were so so, just like Cleveland or Chicago.

I would have to disagree about Montreal. Montreal is a very diverse city. While language could be a barrier for people who are not francophones, in terms of its beauty, the city is nestled between two hills and sits on St. Lawrence river. 45 mins North is the Laurentians and people who prefer quieter places, can always live in the mountains. Montreal and Quebec city are perhaps the only two cities that not "just a north american city".

In the winter, the underground city is always a very convenient alternative for those who cannot brave the cold. This city is within reach by most metro stations and is under the downtown area.

Palpali Gaule
Both the pics I posted is of Lake Louise in Alberta.

By the way some people have commented Canada of being awefully dead cold place to live. In my experience I didnt find northern United States to be any different from southern Canada because of close geogriphical proximity and similar terrian. Chicago gets snow up to march each year and so does Toronto. Snow does not to show up until late december in both the cities.

More important thing is than that major bulk of the Canadian population (just over 85% of the Canadian population) lives about within 300 Kilometers of US border so there is little point even if the climate in the bulk of northern part of Canada gets -40 degree celcius in the winter and the winters are longer than than it is in the southern Canada.

"Banff Resort ........... Live in heaven ..... Canada"

No, thanks. I am too young to die.

The only part of Canada that is "liveable" by Nepali standard is Western Canada.Vancouver and its islands. Its really beautiful.Other than that, most of the places are way too depressing to live. Trust me, I thought I would love snow but when it snows knee high, wind chill gets to -25 and slush of snow is in your nice shoes, it aint a nice feeling. I would rather live somewhere warm....thats why every spring day makes me so much happier.:)

Would trade to live in dirty south any given day than this a** freezing tundra climate.
