Hi guys. I am in H1B pending status. Can i file TPS? I am waiting for my H1b decision. And planning for TPS. If it get decilne I will get EAD. But if will approve do i have to withdraw TPS status or i can conyinue both status at a same time? And regarding TPS what i have to write on eligibility catagory number 16? Plz help me to find these answers.

Yes you can apply for TPS, but you still have time till December so you can wait for the H1B status. I don't how long it is going to take. If you did not hear from them on November then you can just apply for TPS, since you said, even if your H1B declined you will get EAD.

You don't have to withdraw TPS, just use your H1b after approved.

For the category, every person applying for TPS, regarding their current status, has to be C19.

Got both approved today.Biometrics done on aug 3

I had biometrics appointment on August 10. On August 13, online status for EAD receipt still says "New Card is being produced and will be mailed when it is ready". TPS status says "Fingerprint fee received".

After looking through the posts, looks like no one on OPT have been approved yet. Is there anyone on OPT who got their EAD approved and mailed already??

Has anyone received actual EAD card yet? in your mailbox? Mine- online status still says "new card is being produced" since 11th August. TPS status still "Fee received". Just wondering how may days will it take for status change from "being produced" to "card being mailed out"

I am just wondering when the case is in Approved status..does that mean the EAD card is already delivered?

Thanks girl, it says case approved, and after I login to USCIS account, it says "We ordered new card" on the process bar.

Hey guys ..Just wanted to update. My TPS go approved on August 12th. Right now the status is
On August 18, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number *************** to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by September 17, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

@Ozar Looks like biometric is must for all TPS applicants, so no EAD before biometric.

@fdpower what was your status when it got approved on 12th, before it changed on 18th.

My status showed approved on both TPS / EAD reciepts on 12th.
