I just got my first letter for DV lottery 2011. I am currently studying in US. I would appreciate any help sathi haru. I see a lot of steps to follow online. i am totally confused guys. Any help appreciated ? If anyone is in same situation let's share information. 

Another thing what is the risk of doing AOS instead of CP, can anyone tell me?

You can definitely wait until you speak with the lawyer, as there is still sometime before your number becomes current. If you do decide to pursue this, do not hold off until the end, i.e. send the forms as soon as you can so you can get the second letter on time. KCC will not send you anything unless you return the forms and let them know about your decision to either go via AOS or CP. Either way, you still have to wait until your number becomes current which will most probably be in June/July per prior years' VB before DOS can send you a date for interview or for you to send AOS package to USCIS (for AOS).

Does anybody have any idea what was the cut off case number for last year DV lottery visa? My wife got the DV lottery and her case number is 23000 range. Is it high? what is the probability of getting to interview?

Does anyone knows about the "unauthorized employment". Should I go for CP or still can do AOS from here. So, confused.  Help!

i got dv too when i was a student.........all i did was fill up form and and send. The interview place i chose was nepal...........nothing will happen as long u don't work illegally or got some criminal rec........i produced the documents and i got the visa and came here.........

for the past 4 years everyone who got the 1st letter has been getting the 2nd letter too........so no need to worry guys............take it easy...........mine was something 23k..........and still i got it............

Thank you. But "unauthorized employment" is also the violation of Law.  What I am thinking is, if i process from Nepal, Is my illegal work gonna affect to get through?

I have same problem as Asantusta has can anyone know about working unauthorized and counselor processing ?  I have been wanting an answer for this for a while now. Will appreciate help from my fellow compatriots. :)
