Who's your next president 2016?

pollcode.com free polls

We've known Hillary for long time, her charity works towards numerous other humanitarian issues etc.
1. She gave and delivered a kickass commencement speech at Wellesley College in 1969.
2. She was one of 27 women who graduated from Yale Law School in 1973, out of a class of 235.
3. She was the only woman on the Nixon impeachment investigation team.
4. She cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families advocacy group.
5. She broke the mold for first ladies with her speech at the 1995 United Nations Women's Conference in China.
6. She won a Grammy for the audio edition of her book, It Takes a Village.
7. She worked with Ted Kennedy to expand the Children's Health Insurance Program.
8. She won the most votes of any female presidential candidate in history.
9. She set the stage for Obamacare by pushing health care reform in the '90s and during the 2008 campaign.
10. She became the most-traveled U.S. secretary of state ever.
11. She set into motion the first American talks with Iran since the 1979 revolution.

Now who is Bernie Sanders, I don't know, I really don't know and to me he popped up suddenly out of nowhere. If you are partaking in a match, there has to be someone to compete with. I believe any contenders to Hillary are just those out there just for the sake of it(match aka debate). And for someone like me when I saw him suddenly on TV saying that he's getting donation for his campaign not from billionaires but public. People paid standing ovation with round of applause, so? so what's the point? Does that make him saint? But to lot of people that made sense and now he's everyone's' talk of the night. Yes, there are things that make lot of sense to people. The same people who would believe they're getting free Ipad on some fake facebook page of real publication, the same people who follow Trump the maniac, the same fans who would like/share tweets of their drughigh fav singer who claims earth is flat, the same people who resend/retext/reshare religious messages out of fear(do this or curse would happen type), the same people who argues Ron Paul's gold theory must come back in action, the same people who believe and sell all their belongings in the name of judgment day only to turn into homeless next day, seriously I sometimes think how gullible we are to think whatever we hear and see are the truths. Bernie Sanders is another hype to me. Few videos on youtube found me the guy was a big time critique of democratic party itself, and didn't spare Obama policy from criticizing. I am afraid of sweet talkers and often time they're the back stabbers.

In all honesty, I really can't trust this Bernie dude and it seems like how honestly he's saying his things, Hillary is the way to go. Campaigns can't be run without money, however way you get it, you need money. He'll be in billionaire's pocket too if he's to get presidency. Those who think he's not going to be, are just type of people I mentioned in a paragraph above this.

If you are OBAMA supporters, VOTE for Hillary, if you are not VOTE for bernie.

Good Luck.

I'm seeing Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States of America.

Bill while trying to pad Hillary's chances in primaries ends up getting entangled in his own record as President.

From HuffPost -

"Everything Bill Clinton said Thursday to defend his 1996 welfare reform law was false.

Clinton claimed that he left the program with plenty of money for poor people, suggested that it helped reduce black poverty and that it was only the mean, nasty Republicans from the George W. Bush era who gutted it and hurt the poor. Clinton’s distortions of economic history and his own record are so outrageous that — you will be shocked — it is difficult to believe he was being honest. "

Here we go again, to some people it sounds like the familiar ...

"As far as Clinton is concerned, no doubt, she is damn brilliant on public policy matters, however, she unfortunately somehow always seems to get overshadowed by her own sideshows like Bill or by her own statements like, "Being broke..." and so forth. "

Clinton Global Initiative and its involvement in Nepal

Author:

CGI has been actively involved in Nepal to solve some of the pressing problems that the country is facing. For instance, Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN), a social organization in Nepal, has committed to build a Women’s Training Adventure Centre as a part of the CGI Commitments to Action.

Under this project, EWN will provide unprecedented training programs to rural women of Nepal to become trekking guides and adventure tourism professionals. The estimated value of the commitment is $ 300,000.

Lumbini Eye Institute and Center for Community Ophthalmology and Research, a strategic partner of CGI based in Bhairahawa, Nepal, prides itself in providing vital eye care services including medication and surgery in western Nepal. It provides training programs and supports the Lumbini Eye Care Program that helps the rural community with eye care and is associated with Shree Rana Ambika Eye Hospital, one of the largest cataract surgery hospitals in Nepal by volume.

Jiban Baral won the CGI University Outstanding Commitment Award in 2009 for his work in poverty eradication in rural Nepal. He is the president and executive director of Alternatives. The award included a cash prize of $ 2,000 which further helped Alternatives to work for poverty eradication in rural Nepal through Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Centers in Nepal. Likewise, NepalNUTrition, an organization that aims to deliver essential food to malnourished children, also bagged the CGI University Outstanding Commitment Award with a cash prize of $ 5,000. The project run by NepalNUTrition got public support from Bill Gates himself.

Local Capacity Development Facilities (LCDF), an initiative in partnership with CGI, connects local actors in developing countries to national service providers. Nepal is one of the countries where LCDF initiatives have been implemented successfully. Nepali people have also gained a lot from participating in CGI world events a lot which has, in effect, helped the Nepali community to make stronger commitments to curb burning problems.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) is a global organization that encourages and facilitates world leaders to come together and organize for developing novel ideas for solving the core problems the world is facing.

The initiative is a part of the Clinton Foundation, established by former U.S. president Bill Clinton, and came into existence as a social organization in 2005. The Annual Meeting hosted by CGI on September every year is attended by heads of states, prominent figures from the corporate world, directors of international agencies, reputed journalists, and other global dignitaries. The event which coincides with the UN General Assembly has yielded positive results in the form of productive discussion and deliberation on critical world problems, devising of needed solutions, commitments, and international cooperation and partnership for the same.

Other devices that CGI uses and operates to prompt leaders and the international community to take actions are Commitments to Action, Action Networks, MyCommitment.org, CGI University, CGI LEAD, and CGI International.  Commitments to Action are new, specific, and measurable commitments made by CGI members to improve the condition of the world. Nearly 2000 commitments valued at nearly $ 60 billion have been made so far which have gone onto better the lives of about a quarter of a billion people worldwide. MyCommitment.org is an online portal that which provides opportunities to individuals to make a Commitment to Action. Action Networks are networks of people who meet regularly to take action on particular issues. There are 18 of them as of now. Similarly, CGI University is a service project preceded by plenary sessions which are a way of imparting global initiatives on students and universities. CGI LEAD is a convention to assemble and educate leaders of the next generation while CGI International is a supplement to the CGI Annual Meeting organized throughout the world.

Clinton Global Foundation’s involvement in Nepal has benefitted many needy people and it can be foreseen that Clinton Global Foundation’s involvement in Nepal will grow further in the year to come.

Sanders Supporter Creates Superdelegate 'Hit List'; Superdelegates Not Amused

Super Delegate List/Screen shot by NPR

To Bernie Sanders supporters, the idea that Democratic superdelegates — elected officials and other party elites who can vote however they wish at the convention — could tip the nomination to Hillary Clinton seems terribly undemocratic.
And so, they're trying to convince superdelegates, officially known as unpledged party leaders and elected officials, to change their allegiance.

There are several online petitions. One calls for the elimination of superdelegates altogether. Another asks superdelegates to align their choice with regular voters, not party elites, and it has more than 200,000 signatures.

At the moment, more than halfway through the primary process, this would favor Clinton, who leads the popular vote by more than 2 million votes and has a more than 200-pledged-delegate lead (that is, delegates who align with the results of state primaries and caucuses).

But Sanders supporters point to the senator's string of recent wins and figure by the time the last vote is counted in California, he will have the popular lead. And then, under this scenario, it will be up to superdelegates, who make up roughly 15 percent of total convention delegates, to decide who gets the nomination.

"Nobody is going to arrive in Philadelphia with enough delegates to win the nomination," said Jeff Weaver, Sanders' campaign manager. "And the superdelegates don't vote until you actually get into the convention process. So there's been a lot of talk about how the Republicans are going into an open convention. Well, the truth of the matter is, it looks like the Democrats are going into an open convention as well."

It's true that no one will likely have the 2,383 delegates needed for the nomination strictly out of the pledged delegates. But that's also because that number is a majority of all the voting delegates, which includes superdelegates.

The Sanders campaign still has its focus on winning as many pledged delegates as possible in the states still yet to vote, like New York, Pennsylvania and California and the campaign is trying to direct supporters looking to help to volunteering or organizing in those states. In fact the campaign's website lists hundreds of organizing events, many posted by volunteers, but the campaign has moved to remove any events related to reaching out to superdelegates.

But this hasn't stopped Sanders' enthusiastic supporters from taking matters into their own hands. This week, a Sanders fan named Spencer Thayer created the "Superdelegate Hit List," a website to compile and share the contact information of superdelegates, so they can be persuaded. It is not affiliated with the Sanders campaign, but a campaign spokesman didn't respond to multiple requests for comment.
Tweet from Spencer Thayer Twitter Thayer, who answered questions over email, later changed the name simply to "Superdelegate List."

"The intent of the branding was to parody the famous Clinton Hit List, this was a tongue–in–cheek attempt at parody which I thought would encourage resharing," Thayer said. "The branding began to detract from the campaign's purpose, so it wasn't a hard decision to make the change once it was clear it wasn't working."

Thayer's goal with the site was to make it easier for voters to get in touch with superdelegates.

"The superdelegate system is rigged to protect establishment politicians and shut down populism," Thayer said. "Superdelegates, by their very nature, diminish the value of the vote by giving an elite constituency of representatives, party leaders, and even lobbyists extra power. The Superdelegate List exists to help voters challenge this undemocratic system. Contacting our elected representatives and party leaders and holding them to account is an American tradition. This is the only way to keep the voter base from being patronized or ignored."

Superdelegates have been hearing from Sanders supporters for months — and it's not always pleasant. Akilah Ross Ensley is with the Young Democrats of America, and she's a superdelegate who plans to support Clinton. She has to check her professional Facebook page several times a day to deal with all the messages and posts.

"You should be ashamed of yourself," Ensley reads from a recent Facebook message she received. "Maybe you will do some soul searching and have some integrity and think about the decisions you're making and its implications."

Ensley said she's been called names, and there have been expletives.

"They said, you know, you should go to hell," said Ensley, describing another message. "How dare you vote against your own interests as an African-American woman. I expected you would be smarter than that."

When Clinton-backing super delegate Joyce Elliott heard she was on, what at the time was called the Superdelegate Hit List, she was taken aback.

"That is, that is very interesting," Elliott said after laughing uncomfortably. "As far as I know, this is probably only the second time I've been on a hit list, and the other one was not pleasant."

Elliott is a state senator in Arkansas and the last time she was on a hit list, it was over legislation she had introduced. That time, she said, the FBI got involved. This list isn't as scary. Although, she has heard from 20 or 30 Sanders supporters trying to get her to switch.

"Some of them will tell me, you know, how awful Hillary is, therefore, I should support Bernie, and then tell me how great Bernie is," said Elliott, who has known the Clintons since the 1970s. "And that's the kind of thing I think that is not helpful."

For Ken Martin, the chairman of the Minnesota Democratic Party, the flow of messages is constant — 20 a day, he said. His state went for Sanders in its caucuses, and the pressure to switch from Clinton to Sanders is intense.

"Someone received my cellphone number, and they posted that, and so I'm getting calls on my personal cellphone from people all over the country," Martin said.

When Thayer, the creator of the superdelegate list, was told people were feeling harassed and unpersuaded, here's what he said:

"It's likely that most callers are actually polite. If a few people contacting superdelegates are being obscene they'll of course drown out reasonable voices and harden opinions. However, it's useful to look at what's causing some of the anger and outrage we're seeing.

"Voters know they are being disenfranchised by superdelegate influence and these privileged voters are a reasonable target for frustration. And, let's be honest, if superdelegates aren't prepared to deal with the public, they shouldn't be party officials."

But all this freelance lobbying may be unnecessary. It has been the tradition of superdelegates, even in contentious primaries, to ultimately vote at the convention for the candidate with the most popular votes and pledged delegates.

Tad Devine, a senior adviser to Sanders' campaign, was actually involved in the creation of superdelegates, as a way to get party officials more involved in selecting the Democratic nominee.

"That was always done with the understanding that the voters would determine the outcome of this process, and I think they'll do it this time," Devine said back in February when the superdelegate controversy was flaring up after the New Hampshire primary.
