How long does it take to get I485 approved in most of the cases?

Sajha Keto: Where will it say if they have mailed biometrics? How can I check? Will I-485 case status update about biometrics too?

Since my case was filed by lawyer, may be he will only be able to look if the notice was mailed.

Your biometric services appointment notice will be available in your USCIS ELIS online account under the Recent Notices section. If you have signed up for case status updates, via email or text, you will receive a message that your case has been updated.

if your check has been cashed, you should see something like below: Fingerprint Fee Was Received On November 22, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXX. Our Texas Service Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Yeah I was surprised too. I thought I would get EAD/AP only after biometrics. I was following posts on trackitt and some other people got EAD pretty fast too before biometrics recently.

When did you get your biometric letter?

@Nepalisajha3- I got Biometric letter on December 8 at my mailbox. Notice date was December 4, 2016.

[Disallowed String for - Advertising not allowed]10 seems very lucky. I have not seen other folks having EAD so early

I got my AP and EAD approved before my biometrics as well. My wife got it 3 weeks after fingerprint though. Got approved on November 12 but my appointment was on November 18th. I received my card on 19th one day after fingerprints. I was surprised as well.

But now I am waiting for I485 to get approved since then. My I40 got approved on mid November there was RFE on it which got resolved in 3 weeks.

I have been going to my mailbox everyday since last 2 weeks and still no biometrics notice. Sometimes on Saturdays I go to mailbox twice a day :(

what is the online status of your i-485 application? Does it says fingerprint fee received or something else?

I-485 Current Status

I think they have already sent you the FP notice. Check with your attorney or HR. If they have not received it yet, ask them to contact USCIS. Most of the time, when this message gets updated, people receives FP notice within a week max.

Got EAD/AP approved today. But for I485 received update stating "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction"

congratulations efg. I think that is just workload transfer to new SC. You should be receiving notice in mail saying where they transferred your case. Good luck buddy
