If you were never out of status and your employer is ready to file GC, then YES. I got mine. You can be eligable to apply GC while in TPS status. The most important things are as follows:- 1) Never out of status 2) finished school 3) Get job (constultancy in my case) 4) Employer ready to file your GC. Process little lengthy but worth it. PERM --- I-140---1485 --Time line 1 year - 18 months (Depends upon your employer interest as well as your LUCK)

Mine was done through the direct company. It went very smooth - within few months. However, It was in 2006.
