My parents visited me around one and half years ago. Their visas are still valid for three and half years. Now my dilemma is do I file I130 and have them go to the US embassy in Nepal OR invite them over and file I485 along with I130? My parents don't speak and understand English at all. Cost wise it looks like the first option is cheaper. However, If it will be easier for my parents I am willing to go with the second one. They are old and I don't want them to go through the hassles.
Your suggestion on this matter will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I am exactly on same situation Please share the experience. I did some google and found ambiguous info eg. visit visa/Gc conversion/interview questions etc.

Your plan is to keep your parents in US permanently, then I see nothing wrong they come down here NOW, and afterward, you do all the necessary paper work.

File for I485 after they are in the US. You can do it yourself, no lawyers needed. Make sure you have all your tax papers (W2)
