for starting this thread "jugnu" bro!
I'm an amateur photographer too. Well, i'm not sure if I should even call myself a 'photographer' because I take a few shots once in a while because I'm terribly busy school and it's really hard to find time to practice photography. After playing with point-n-shoots and megazooms for about a year and half, I decided to spend a big buck to buy a dslr and I just bought one few weeks ago. But, I'm not sure if I did the right thing because I'm not impressed with my photographs. Well, people like it but to be honest, I don't feel like the pictures I take are that good. Maybe it's just me...

Critique about your pic: like you said, it's a bit overexposed. There is also a white dot on her cheeks, somekind of reflection? Also, you can see shadow on her neck making it darker than other areas on the picture. I wonder if placing her facing slightly different direction would have fixed that. Other than that, it looks good to me. Btw, it'd be nice if equipments and settings used were posted with the picture.

Thanks Jantare bro.
I think that white dot is flare from lens. As for shadow, I think there was light from behind and front too so thats why there is shadow in neck. It was shot on all natural light and I put her at the place where the sunlight was also reflecting on her face from window of house in front of her.
I dunno other technical details, but the lens used was Canon 24-70 USM f2.8 on Canon 550d at around 35mmf2.8 and I shot it using manual exposure overexposing with two or three stops as I was shooting against the sunlight.
Also, where is your picture u want to be critisized? Come on. Don't be shy.
I just started this thread so we all can learn from each other and make better photographs,  as Ansel Adams once said
“ You don’t take a photograph, you make it."
