We celebrated Dasain on the 15th of October.

Anyway for us guys at Newcastle, Dasain was better than expected. More than 30 Nepalese came together to celebrate the occasion and of the 30 people about 10 of us were ex-GC bhanja and bhanjees.

Sorry to hear about your miserable Dasain celebration. I am sure there will more Nepalese coming over to your place in times. Mean while bear with it.
