If I (US citizen) wish to sponsor a family friend from Nepal in a "US VISITOR VISA", what supporting documents do I need to present at the US consulate Office in KTM? I can think of "Affidavit of Support (INS form I-136) and a job letter…..are there anything else ?

...& what sort of documents will he (family friend) have to provide?

Your help is deeply appreciated.

Rgds,
sk

If they can show thier suppor(bank statement)t on their own, that would be plus point.
Your affidavat of support, notarized.
copies w2s for at least 2 years to convience that you have enough income.
your copy of job contract letter proving that you are currently at job.
Your saving account's statement would be supportive as well.
Your request letter showing your interest and reason to invite them.
