This is a local group of ethnic Nepalis called the “Gurungs,” who come from different parts of Nepal. Yet this song & dance performance will celebrate not only rich Gurung cultural heritage, but also other ethnic groups in Nepal. Musically the group will perform upbeat songs with vocals supported by madal (Nepali drum) and harmonium. The dances will include: Nepal Ki Chori Hu Ma (I am a daughter of Nepal) and a traditional Gurung Dance.
