Dear Sajhaities,
I am very sad to share this story of untimely demise of our friend Anurakta Shrestha who was son of well-known Nepali writer Shailendra Sakar and was residing in Colorado. Let us pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and support his family by making donation to Anurakta Shrestha Charity.
Thanks,

It seems like its a suicide until the investigation is completed and an official explanation is made. He was suffering from chronic dippression from some time. He was a charming, talented, a good leader, and a good community guy in his early days. I have known him since Nepal. It was shocking and sad to learn in facebook that he ended his life with a gun. Rest in piece my old friend.

It is so sad to hear this news.
Anurakta dai and I used to make songs together.
He composed a very nice song, and i tried to sing it back in 2005.
Now dedicated to his departed soul :(

I have depression too, i am struggling with it, sometimes wish i could be dead but then i think what about my family? They will miss me every Dashsain n cry, so then I think ya its worth living than to give sadness to our loved ones. Depression has ruined my life. Can't sleep at night n then if i sleep also i keep getting awake every two hours n my brain starts thinking too much, past present future everything. Then i will be on bed for hrs n hrs finally realizing it's time to go to work. Barely finish my breakfast n go to work. Depression has no cure it's worse than HIV AIDS. I don't blame this guy. RIP.

whiteboy ...you need to address what is causing you dipression. There is always a root cause of dippression and that root cause causes dippression and builds up. Seek help from your friends and family. Force yourself to be with people at all times. Also, seek therapy if its bad. Dippression is not considered a problem in our culture as you always get " everyone is dippressed" kind of a response. This attitude is not good. Mostly people think of it as not controlling yourself but the sickness takes over ones body and he is no longer controlling it anymore. Dont let it get worse.

@sidster ya u r right sometimes i can't control myself. People tell me it's you who was supposed to control what u do but they won't really understand that there is somebody inside me who triggers uncontrollable manners that is not accepted in society.
@arnill0l i know everyone has it
@freedom loneliness is among the ones, living far away from families. But there r many reasons. I was taking the medicines from Nepal. So it's on n off. When i take a medicine i get very down to earth. Scared to go n interact with people. Sometimes i stayed at room watching tv all day n night. But when i don't take medicine i m very arrogant always arguing with others. So I am thinking i had got this disease from my inheritance. Sometimes i am high sometimes low, i think i have OCD n bipolar disorder. I haven't taken medicines since two years as frens n family suggests me not to take. They even try to throw away my prescriptions saying you dun need this, you better than this, common you can control your mind, you the one who is thinking that way, this and that. In reality they don't understand no matter how hard i tried to think positive, i get so negative. I have lost hope that someday i can be successful. Also i m lost in culture. Ever since I landed in US, i always think why i wasn't born here in a rich welleducated white family.

@ Kuire Bro:
I think those feelings get into almost evey1 of us who try to get things right & things gets screwed again & again & again... Me 2; I sink into that same feeling times & often & like you said there is always family to think of. Likewise I have the same Sleep disorder...I go to gym...make me tired ...come home & go sleep...that used to help me out ..but being a contractor...I am in the market now & being lazy to get back to gym....so I am like drinking like couple bottles of beer almost everyday lately...it helped me a bit...but I got scare if this will become my habit & evenmore it will give me a fudging belly...you know..but good thing is I think I can quit this sh*t but don't want to give a chance..I quit smoking after 10 years & I am clean now for a year, I really feel proud for that dude...anyway back to the point here is what I do lately I turn on this peaceful meditation song on my I-phone & some times bhajans or something like Hanuman Chalise or Om hymns or whatever is called & stuff like those....its really helping me to get to sleep without consuming anything...maybe you want to try that...hope things work out for you guy...
@ White Chick Hubby Bro : No worries, I will donate you...you are not that bad...you just try to be bad ...
